While it is only a short story I do think it is actually a pretty interesting idea. Shaco being inhuman was kinda given at this point,so making him something eerie like a marionette works pretty well in my opinion and his origin story ties him to a past kingdom,which could lead to some interesting stories.

It's definetly better than "he is a random demon who kills people for fun"

I prefer the mystery of old shaco. Clearly not human. But what was he? We don't know. The mystery is scary.

I mean, that's kinda cool but also: He's the Demon Jester but it sounds like he's not actually a demon?? Just a cursed doll? We know things can be turned into Demons but I'm not sure this is that.
