Question about the sea monsters that surround Bilgewater
Do the sea monsters attack ships for food or do they only attack to defend themselves because they are always being hunted?

Well going by real world animal behaviors I would say Sea Monsters are more likely to recognize ships as hunters and attack in self-defense. However in fantasyland there is no reason why a group of sea monsters can’t recognize a ship as full of potential food, except for the fact that I can’t imagine a sea monster gets much out of even a modest crew of humans.
