Taliyah - The Bird and the Branch

Holy... wow. I didn't give a crap about Shurima before, but now I'm eager to see how Azir is "oppressing" people. I don't know. This dynamic makes him and Shurima feel actually interesting. Like it's not a random magical kingdom with no people. It's an empire with the local commoners suddenly picked up my some old dead guy suddenly popping to life and how this is changing how the world works.

Also Ionia. Finally. Yes. Please. More Ionia.

All in all, I'm excited to see where this goes. You said the magical word "Freljord" so now I'm eager to see how this plays out.

It was never said that he was oppressing the people. She almost purely assumes this because he wants to return Shurima to its former glory. Old emperors were more inclined to enforce slavery.

I'm glad that they're making Azir an ambiguous character, probably obsessed with old glory. I'm just annoyed how much stuff happens with Ionia :/ (More Noxians being bad. Woo.)

I think the whole "Azir is a slave driver" thing is just the worries of skeptics. Similar to how Yasuo doesn't know that Azir actually is real, I don't think these Ionian traders know what he exactly is doing.
