@Riot, is it possible that there are still non-trapped Darkin?

Basically an Ascended still on the run from Targonians. I feel like a champion like this could have a really interesting dynamic in the LoL Lore. Let's assume he/she tried to return to Shurima after hearing word of Azir's return. Would he/she pledge loyalty to Azir? Would Nasus resent him/her? What would his/her relationship with the trapped Darkin be like? If he/she swore allegiance to Azir, would the Targonians leave him/her alone?

This is assuming Azir and the Shurimans would even allow him/her to pledge loyalty to them in the first place.

Azir would probably look upon the corrupted Ascended with disgust and contempt, and the Shurimans would absolutely despise his/her entire existence.

And no way in hell the Targonians would just let him/her run freely. Myisha didn't give a fuck about the Darkin in Twillight of the Gods, why would she give a fuck about this one?

I'm sorry, but I don't see any shot at redemption for any of the Darkin.

I dont think that it would make sense due various reasons, but the main reasons is that... it would be pointless and confusing, non trapped darkins are basically Ascendeds... If Riot wants to make a non trapped darkin, then they could easily make him/her an Ascended instead. Normal players that dont care about the lore, would not understand why this "darkin" looks like Nasus and Renekton instead of Aatrox and Rhaast.

Wait are we talking just Ascended's who exist or specifically Darkin who took up arms and ruined themselves and people for personal gain? Azir wouldn't know what a Darkin is, he wasn't around. If an Ascended returned to Shurima then he'd probably welcome them.

There are probably Ascended's out there, if they live long enough (not all are like Nasus with long life) but don't think any Darkin are left.
