How to get a job as a voice of a Champion?

It came as an idea because my boyfriend has a really strong, deep, clear voice and it sounds Demacian-like.

Most of the league voices I’ve seen recently have either ONLY done league or have a super small resume compared to voice acting in TV/anime/movies.

Does anyone know how the voice actors for league champions were found? Did Riot put out an ad or something simple or is it more complex than that? Did they need to only come in for a day or two? I know some voice actors for league have reprised their voices multiple times but others kind of fell off the face of the earth...

Thanks ahead of time!

They contact agencies. You need to establish a reputation and your agency will have a history of voices you have done. When Riot sends out a request to agencies looking for someone with a certain range, experience, and availability, they pretty much choose their best option. Not sure if they do auditions or if they just pick and roll with it, but it's a process that someone simply can't waltz into like that, unfortunately.

This is speaking as someone who does voice work, and I tell you it's not easy to land a role as a champion in a big-name game like League of Legends unless you luck out hugely.

Although, if you attend a lot of Riot events and get active, you can establish some connections to kind of streamline the process and make yourself known to them.

Now you need to have some credentials in acting

When the game was brand new, probably as simple as being even slightly known in the video game or hell, slightly known in any industry and asking. As of now though and being one of the most prominent video games on the planet, you will likely need to have a long run career of being a voice actor.

Perhaps sending in a ticket or looking at the job lists Riot has might help? Not sure as I have little knowledge about voice acting as a career.
