A reminder

The first cinematic by League of Legends, although not on par in terms of video quality (obviously), did manage to evoke the same feeling that I had when I first started playing League of Legends.

An epic teamfighting game that revolved around fighting in skirmishes until there were teamfights that seemed like they would shape a big portion of the rest of the game that revolved around teamwork.

Nowadays I just look at half the games I play and wonder what has happened to that feeling of epicness that I got from that video.

Odyssey's recruitment video is different. The video really gave us a feel for the whole Odyssey event, and many people have remarked on how they'd like to see an entire movie based off of it. I would too, and I would pay big monies to watch a full length Odyssey film.

However, Odyssey isn't the 5v5 Summoner's Rift that is the cornerstone of League of Legends, and I would really love to get a feel once again for what League of Legends is all about.

I can't honestly sum up the sheer epicness of that first cinematic. Watch it yourself.

Another one that captures League of Legends in higher definition is A New Dawn, which I feel manages to make skirmishes look more exciting, but removes that 5v5 feel from the game and focuses more on the individual fights.

Explainations:

The first league of legends cinematic captures in its unadulterated state the core value of League of Legends, which is that 5v5.

A New Dawn captures a separate aspect of League of Legends, the skirmishes. However, I feel that during the "teamfight" scene, too much attention was diverted onto each individual scene, like Rengar and Katarina fighting for ages in a tree only for her to fail a shunpo. However, I'm being nitpicky, and this was in general an amazing cinematic.

Odyssey manages to capture so much personality in such a short video, and so many of the little details make it pop out. Honestly, if that were a trailer for a movie, I'd rank it as one of the best ones I've seen. Does an amazing job of hyping up Odyssey.
