Zilean's lore
Was his lore updated at all to fit the current lore or its still the old one . I just read his lore and I'm not sure if its the old one or an updated one..Also he is somehow related to Voilibear..

His lore has been semi-updated. His long biography is still the old one, but his short bio now changes his city of origin to Icathia. In Vel'Koz' color story he visits Zilean's tower in Icathia when he first enters Runeterra and is now searching for Zilean (or at least interested in him).
From the state of the tower, it seems the owner departed only recently. The artifacts left behind have existed in more than one time and place. Some are more complex than others; all are more impressive than anything I have seen on this plane. Clearly, the owner knows things I have not encountered in any of my travels.
I require such knowledge.
Meanwhile, Zilean is doing time-stuff to try to devise a future where the void is defeated.
The Zilean-Volibear interaction is just a joke from the devs. If I remember correctly, the main developer for Zilean was opposed to Volibear's concept since "a bear in armor is ridiculous".
Im not sure if Riot will ever make the "relation" with Volibear canon, but i will explain you why it was created in first place:
Long time ago, before the creation of the "Support" page of Riot, in the oldest forums of League of Legends a Meme existed.
That Meme consisted in, when people needed a short ammount of RP in order to buy something, they were able to create a Post in the forums, asking for that short ammount of RP that they needed... But that RP had a cost, a cost that only a few choosen ones were able to give, and the cost was: A drawing of an armored bear.
So, the armored bear meme began and everyone was happy about it... but everything changed when the Nation of Zileas attacked. Zileas is a member of Riot who created Annie and Ashe, Zilean was named after him.
Zileas had a mission, to purify the League of Legends and erase any kind of Armored Bear... Because only Tibbers was allowed to be: The Bear of League. With the power of the Annie Skins, he created The Zilean Illuminati... an strong Faction that opposed the creation of Armored Bears.
However, other members of Riot created their own Factions as well, in order to support or go against The Zilean Illuminati and their plans of ArmoredBear Erradication.
The stronger supporter of the Armored Bear was Riot Volibar, he decided to go into a war against The Zilean Illuminati in order to free the Armored Bears and let them roam free in the League. That day, The Brotherhood of the Armored Bear was born.
Their battle was epic, and many people died (not really), but in the end, Volibar won and the Armored Bear was announced as a Champion of the League. That new champion was called Volibear, in honor of Volibar.
Due that, Zilean, the Avatar of Zileas has an interaction against Volibear, the Avatar of Volibar and the Armored Bears... as a Reference of the Riot Wars.

Most of the story about the Riot Wars has been forgotten with the destruction of the Old Forums, but there are still leftovers and proofs of it it in the game itself. The Iron Solari for example, were also a faction that was born during that time and the tradition of drawing a champion in order to get RP comes from the meme of the Armored Bear.
