New Rune - Summon Aerie connected to Kindred?

So one of the first things I noticed when seeing the icon for one of the upcoming runes for pre-season, Summon Aerie, is that its face shares a resemblance to that of both Lamb and Wolf, or in general.

As you can see in the video provided Aerie (Aery? the video spelling is inconsistent with the pre-season rune update) has a hook shaped pattern on its face just like the ones found on Lamb and Wolf, although in the same position as Wolf's but just in a different color.

Just looking at Aerie does highly suggest it is a spirit like Kindred, but is it possible that they are more closely connected due to the same marking? Is it possible Aerie is just a lesser spirit from the same time Kindred was made, or is there a deeper connection?

Anyways just speculation, feel free to add on your own ideas.
