Katarina splash art comparison

Look at the differences between the 2 most recently added splash arts for Katarina. Why is it that one of them makes her look very lifelike with refined features that looks really attractive, while the other is one of my least favorite splash arts in the game now? The new vanilla Katarina splash art is honestly so disgusting to me given what we're used to from the character. I would even venture so far as to say that the in-game model has better detail and a more shapely face than the new splash. Isn't that the opposite of what it's supposed to be?

Can we go back to the old one?

Usually, when we update champion splash art, we go from a very cartoon-y low-detail older one to a shiny new updated one. 2 good examples of this are in Orianna and Blitzcrank. When they were updated, the new splash arts were much more detailed and less immature forms of the same idea.

This change seems like the exact opposite.

....It's inline with their take on tristana's ingame feet size. But does anyone notice how the people whining about nice girls with boobs and no clothes etc, are now quiet on kat's obvious 1 leg/stump? They're dead quiet...

I will admit i dont like the face on the new one, but the body and perspective are pretty solid.

Bring back the old Katarina. Her face used to be pretty realistically proportioned, determined, and had a great body, now she has a very unrealistically skinny face and body. Fk I don't even play Katarina, ban her all the time, and I feel bad for her fans.

Only thing I don't like about the new splash is the teleporting thing. Did riot every even mention how she can teleport? its in the cinematics and in game, but never explained. Is it like ezreal with his gauntlet? Plz riot explain :(

At least this base splash gives her some kind of emotion. The splash she's had for the past 1+ years made her look like "Oh, hey, there's a birdie!", completely blank expression. This one looks like she's trying to kill you. Change it back? Forget it.

Yea, when I first saw the splash for warring kingdoms Kat and how great it looked, I was excited for what lay in store for her updated classic splash.

Then I saw the new classic splash on the pbe, and I wanted to vomit. They fixed up her face so she actually looks like a woman now, but I still think there is waaay too much going on in one scene, and the positioning is horrible.

I'm willing to bet it's the same person who made the new kayle splash art. I mean no offense to the artist, but they took one of the most beautiful splash arts in the game, and replaced it with a total abomination (seriously, wtf is with these horrendous camera angles?).
