Should riot expand runterra

league has been updating many things recently and I though as a suggestion that maybe it is time to update runeterra since in a lore sense it is where champions come from. it is hard to piece together the champions and their relations with each other when they live in one island. champions are creatively made and are very unique, as a fan I love the work riot has made and would love to see more cinematics, enter the unique lore of each champion and see new skins as well as new game maps based on the geographical features of a new runeterra vise versa runeterra can be updated by using ideas from skins and other iconic features in league of legends. benefits of updating runeterra:

  • {main reason} developers would have more room for imagination.
  • lore would be more interesting and detailed.
  • more skins according to lore.
  • more lore according to skins.
  • geographical features would affect the appearance of certain champions perfect example would be unchained alistar the skin shows the character is in a Icy enviorment. he is unchained which according to the lore he has always been chained. possible cinematic, lore, ice map on Christmas? {important reason} more champions are coming more and more in to the league of legends and there must be a larger map to fit them all in. even if most people don't pay attention to the lore there are those who do and/or would like to do so. if anyone agrees would you share your opinion/s for an update on the runeterra map.

Well they don't live on one island anymore; Runeterra has at least three continents now. Valoran, Ionia and the southern continent that Shurima's on.

I think it would be interesting if they started adding smaller nations that matter less than say Demacia or Noxus, OR have them make organizations of good and bad guys that are a combination of several nations. Like a big bad guy team or a big team of anti-undead Shadow Isles hunters. It would be cool to have a large network of champions connected besides the current "They are all from the same faction", or "These two/three champions do/don't like each other". And not like loose connections, but ACTUALLY like all actively working together.

I prefer what Riot has been doing recently. Expanding beyond Runeterra. Champions such as Aurelion Sol, Bard, Kindred and all the Void-beings are cool as hell to me and I personally hope Riot decides to continue doing stuff like that.
