@riot compedium-like magic token for players

So, in recent riot's updates I was getting the feeling that riot does not making lore and visual updates (like mentioned down below) for couple of reasons. One of that reason is that there is no profit in making this kinda-updates. (Updates is a wrong word but you will see what I mean)

So I want to propose to riot making a thing in store.. let's call it magic token.. I propose that they add magic token that serves the function of us players showing Riot with OUR money that we want these changes.

That magic token will work like that: players buy it and in exchange Riot promise us to make changes and updates offered in tokens and MAKE them.

Like, you know, Valve made with compendium where gathered amount of money meant update for the game.

As was mention in some others discussions by some players - some players have lost trust for Riot, I suggest that riot provides us with dates. Or atleast months when these updates will be ready.

I, myself, am willing to pay the amount that equals 1300 rp skin or equals legendary skin (if riot promises a lot of changes). Moreover, people who would pay for this could be awarded with some summoner icon thingy or even with option to use Gankplank commentator.

Examples of changes (updates) that riot could offer:

  • VO updates to certain old but in a good spot champions. Like Miss Fortune, Riven, Caitlyn, Janna and many more.
  • Long awaited visual update for Caitlyn. I personally feel she is in a good gameplay spot, but her visuals is outtdated.
  • visual updates for some skills. Like Veigar's E.
  • low scale vgu-s or like Tristana had for certain champions. For champions that are in a good gameplay spot, but visually outdatted. Like Veigar, Riven and many more. (Veigar need his black yordle pointy ears go through his hat like in fan arts). And Corki. Corki is need of Tristana's vgu.
  • also vgus for champions that are not getting one cause of legendaries. Like Udyr, Lee Sin, Rumble and etc.
  • some champions titles change. Like Wu Kong change from 'Monkey King', Janna's title change and etc.
  • some promise of lore in-game event
  • finally adding 'Butchers Bridge' or how they call pirate-aram
  • finally finishing retcon. With not new stories, But just deleting summoners stuff and institute of war
  • updating Universe page to have all of the stories and more easy navigation for new players
  • new commentators
  • new ability icons for some champions
  • and adding lore - adding kinda encyclopedias. Like what places are in Heirloom map looks and feels like, how magick works, how religion works and etc. So we could have a grasp of life on Runterra
  • and adding more maps and I mean add fast :)
  • adding not used voice lines. Like the situation that happened with Rengar's necklace quotes and Taliyah quotes.
  • new begginers mode
  • and maybe even another visual version of summoner's rift

And many more. It's just some ideas. Also please keep in mind that champions that I mentioned is just part of the list (of not-Tier1 champions) and the full list community must create. Apart from Cait, she is visually disgrace now. Sheriff, HUH?

Also this is just examples, ideas that I had, and I think community will agree on. Please add things you could use in that Magic Token

P.s. I think some people will say "would should I give riot money for this when it's their work". I kinda agree, but clearly riot is not moving in that direction. Even the retcon is not nearly is finished. And Riot will probably make all things will be suggested, but in a year 2022. So we kinda have to show them that we care. And we need that.

And also thanks in advance :)

Uhm they do make lore updates And tbh, they even make them quite frequently since last year. Ahri Amumu Azir Blitzcrank Caitlyn Diana DrMundo Ekko Elise Ezreal Fiora Galio Gangplank Garen Graves Hecarim Janna JarvanIV Jayce Jinx Kalista Karthus Leona Lux Maokai MissFortune Mordekaiser Nami Nasus Orianna Pantheon Poppy Quinn Rammus Renekton Rengar Ryze Shen Shyvana Sivir Skarner Taric Thresh TwistedFate Vayne Vi Viktor Warwick MonkeyKing Xerath Yorick Zac

All got lore updates that gave them a short story and a bio. There are also some champs who got a short story already, though their full bio is still missing. Sure it'd be nice if they were faster, but saying they don't do them at all is just wrong.

As for your idea: While I think that the idea itself sounds nice,I don't think it is a good idea(and I think some of your suggestions feel a bit redundant,I mean adding unused voice lines?Thats not something that you should pay for considering that these voice lines already exist). First of all, there'd be a lot of people who'd think of it as a cheap cashgrab.I mean seriously,a lot of people would see this more as Riot refusing to properly work unless they get some extra cash from the players.

Then there is the fact that it basically means that riot will be forced to focus on some things that are honestly less needed than others. For example if a lot of people spend money for an Ahri VU,then Riot would focus on that instead of updating Nunu for example, despite the fact that Nunu needs the update much more. Yes the extra money would mean that Riot can hire more people, but I doubt that this can finance a whole team of people to make these updates(after all people who spend money on these tokens are less likely to buy skins, since they don't want to spend too much money on one game),so it would still slow down the process on other projects.

I did read the entire post but you completely lost me at the first sentence. IDK if it's just poor phrasing or what but I dont see how one could come to that conclusion when there are obvious examples to the contrary.

Much much easier solution. Polls. Who do you think needs vgu most. Who's lore needs polishing. Everything. Can be done anytime you buy RP, get a code, go to site and enter ot, take short survey
