Malzahar's Identity

Malzahars identity seems to be completely different ever since the Mage Update.

He used to be a Prophet of the Void. A man whose purpose was to show everyone the coming Terror the Void would bring. His enter kit fit this idea. His space aids are actually called Malefic Visions, which are visions how they will die. His Q and W were him creating holes and portals leading to the Voiding. And his ult is him directly channeling the power of the Void to hold his oppents in place, beneath him. His old passive was basically when using his Void powers every now and then something else came through the cracks he was creating.

Malzahar now is not so focused on being a prophet. His new W is literally his old passive but instead of weakening the fabric of space and time so much that something slips through he just summons Voidlings, which are also most of his damage. His New Passive doesn't really so much say Void Prophet as it does Wizard with Magic shield. His new identity isn't so much Prophet of the Void as it is Wizard of Voidlings, aka Minionmancer.

I find this difference to be saddening. A Dark Prophet is a cool concept that is unused by other characters in league. Kinda like, if Malzahar is this powerful then how dangerous is what he is foretelling will come?
