Why I'm slightly disappointed with the Ahri skin.

We all know that Ahri is one of the dozen or so champs that get a lot of skins, so her getting one doesn't bother me. She seems to get the most flak for it though so can't we pile on to Yi, Ez, or TF for a change? However I am a little disappointed riot made her skin for the year this particular theme.

People have wanted pool party Ahri for awhile. People have wanted Christmas themed Ahri skin for awhile... m'Ahri christmas. People have watned halloween skin S'Arhi. People have wanted french maid Ahri. People have wanted a japanese themed Ahri skin where she's wearing one of those fox masks. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

I mean the new skin looks okay. The crystal tails are a question mark for me. I'm going to complain in advance about her LIGHT ball casting a shadow because rito's artists and modelers have no bloody idea how light works. However the backlog of requested Ahri skins is so large and you can't even add any ideas to that list without getting grief and downvotes from the haters that not trying to chip away of that backlog with every other skin release feels like a wasted opportunity if you don't knock the skin out of the park.

I mean I'm sure at least some people have asked for Ahri in leather pants so I'm not going to complain too much. Hurray for leather pants ahri. However it seems like whenever a new one comes out, half the time I'm asking myself why did riot choose that theme of all the options available.

Yeah, another Popstar Ahri skin isn't at all what I expected for Ahri (though, they should really take the opportunity here to call her "PopstAhri"). Apparently BlackPink requested her, so that's why the made the skin.

Of course, they could just be reworking the old Popstar Ahri skin as others have suggested (which I'm neither for nor against, as I like the old skin and bought the Girls Generation chroma for it...so I'm set either way) to fit into the revamped Popstar skin line.

I am vastly dissapointed.

Put her in a box and don't touch it until Morde gets his VGU. She doesn't need or deserve another skin.

Is it too much to ask for a skin that caters to an entirely different fantasy? I saw someone suggest an armored Ahri skin in a comment on another post, and now I can’t stop thinking of an Ahri skin with an appearance similar to Creator Viktor. 1350 RP full metal skin with a red and dark gray/black color scheme, staticky particles, and a mechanical voice filter. I’d probably actually play Ahri if she had that skin.

Well since Ahri is cash cow and one of most popular champions like Lux.. They will get skins and skins and skins and cycle will never end.

Disappointed or not , we all gonna buy this skin and yeah xD I really dreamed of Winter Wonder Ahri for a long time tho .. I kinda wished if Janna took the Pop Star one and Ahri had the Halloween one , but nothing can be changed and as from what I saw , Worlds are gonna be in Korea and Ahri is the only champions that is taken from a Korean story and a Korean name so they chose her because they thought that she is a must
