Please seek out fans that are aspiring writers (not me) and get some official League of Legends novels going!

Because we already know 75% of the characters in the game won't have any novels written about them and those that do have novels written about them will instantly become Mary Sues.
Real talk: coordinating canon and future development is hard already inside Riot HQ with all the teams doing different things: See the Varus update which had the Darkin as space aliens even though the lore team already wanted to make them fallen Sunborn.
Imagine if they had to coordinate entire novels with fans, the canon would explode.
They are hiring increasing numbers of editors to better regulate canon, but it takes time and some things will be beyond their capabilities.
