The Elderwood and the Coven

Staring off, the skins show there lore in the collection which half the people who play this game don't know because you can already find the skins under champions, HOWEVER it doesn't give the lore behind some of the skins, and I mean some because some have no lore at all and are just there for kicks and for the fact of how good they look and more importantly, sales.

 Of course we know some of the lore thanks to youtube videos or just normally reading it on league's website, which odyssey, star guardian and project seem to have the biggest lore of the skinlines at the moment.
 Let's start with one of the lesser known but favored skinlines, the elderwood skinlines.

 Basis:
 From what I gathered, the elderwood skinline is about you guessed it hopefully... elves, druids, and sprites. Because of the fact they are tied to nature, that is why they have flowers and some other plants growing along them, which also makes up for their clothing as well. However, deep in wherever this skinline is supposed to take place in, my guess is its based off Alfheim in norse mythology, there is a darker area where there is a dark power that constantly tries letting loose called the coven, which is basically the elderwood's doom. The coven are witches that wish destruction upon the elderwood and take its enchantments for themselves to ressurect their gods, which the coven's gods take form as unworldly forms of animals such as a stag or a ram.

Leblanc in this side of the lore is one of the elderwood who was a lone sylvan sorceress, who stole the attacking Coven witches' magic, and their lives single handed. There is not much else about her other than she protected the elderwood by herself against a horde of coven witches.

http://ddragon.leagueoflegends.com/cdn/img/champion/splash/Bard_1.jpg Bard was before Leblanc's elderwood release, so his lore doesn't have anything tied to the coven at the moment. However, he was from the older version of the world, and grew from a seed that came from said "old world." He is basically the watcher or guider of the land since it was ever made, considering he is one of the oldest entities in the elderwood.

However, he is a sole guardian of the elderwood, and takes down human warriors, scavangers, bandits, and so forth that dare to harm the forests, which is probably what that giant axe is used for. Again, he is a primordial being of the elderwood, like bard, so he doesn't have a fully human appearance.

She used to be a kind, youthful, curious trickster spirit, which let's be honest, that's basically what Ahri is regardless. Anyway, she grew more serious over time as the Coven began causing harm to the elderwood, so she battles against the coven to help keep them at bay for good, which is almost what Leblanc is trying to do.

As far as we know, Leona (in either the solar eclipse or lunar eclipse skin) hunts down and eliminates any member of the Coven, killing any witch she comes across with intense power of the sun or moon, depending on the time or setting of day or night. She has no alliance with the elderwood whatsoever as far as we know, but her hatred towards the Coven is deeply proven.

She cuts down parts of the elderwood (and its people) with bladed legs which is what camille is more noted for, Knife Legs. However, after decimating an area, she seeds the area with dark magic to further spread to influence of the coven. So her purpose therefore is two birds with one stone.

Lissandra is the coven witch representing the Ivory Stag. She is more... degenerate than camille at any rate. Lissandra endlessly waits for her coven gods to rise up from the old growth, which is what the old world became after dying, which in case you can't remember, that's where bard came from in this skinline. So she is sitting endlessly in the darkest reaches of the old growth, doing nothing, until a giant silver deer comes up I guess.

He is a goblin with dead magic which he thrills to torment his victims with, while making them hallucinate with the strange toadstool at the tip of his staff. For a small goblin, he is a threat to the elderwood.

Nocturne in this skinline is one of the primordial coven entities that the elderwood grew over to seal, but he broke free. Judging by Nocturne's face, he is possibly the "ivory stag" that Lissandra was waiting to rise up, or he could be some other entity, but he has a deer-like skull for a face, so we aren't really sure. As far as we know, he is a risen corpse of the coven gods, so he isn't in his entirety of power, otherwise, Elderwood is Boned. Also, what you see in the picture is him not trying to constrict someone with thorns and vines, he is trying to influence and corrupt them to do the Coven's bidding, driving them insane, which is quite scary knowing what the coven gods can do even at the lowest of their strength.

That's all for the elderwood skinline lore at the moment, we are for sure going to get more of these skins in the future since we just recently god nocturne, ahri and veigar skins, with borders, and their respective icons. I am hoping there will be another legendary skin for the elderwood skinline like they did with dark star and the cosmic skinline.
