You know, Odyssey may be the only way for Riot to produce a League of Legends movie

Since they're worldbuilding Runeterra and don't want to make a movie that would cause cemented events that would fuck with any lore they're trying to write, why not make a movie based around a non-canon universe? It wouldn't be totally the same as a LoL movie, but it'd allow the creative team to do whatever the hell they want and not screw with the Runeterra scene.

What do you guys think? Odyssey movie eventually?

No movie whatsoever canon or alt. universe. Just being interested in a world isn't enough for me to want a movie because there is 0 guarantee it would be any good and my interest in League isn't gonna make me sit through a bad movie.

Riot has already expressed this without mincing words. We aren't gonna make a movie because we make games. Of course the movie is gonna suck lol.

I think basing media off of a skin line is the way to go if you want plots worthy of a feature film. The Odyssey universe is definitely a candidate. I'm also curious about the Project timeline. Kind of old hat at this point, I know, but the way it reminds me of Aeon Flux makes me think it might do well as a series of shorts.
