I can't express enough how much I enjoyed reading both the updated Bio and the Short Story; Halfway Between the Earth and the Stars.

###I LOVE how much it was emphasised on how much Soraka has and still is sacrificing...

  • Leaving the Celestial Realm
  • Sacrificing her very body (Celestial > Mortal)
  • Forcing herself to be in pain (Her Celestial Magic, is burning out her new Mortal body from the inside out) but "she knew her suffering meant little if she could help to heal all that was broken and incomplete."
  • Her In-Game W Health Cost Mechanic being part of the Lore ("The creature’s flesh began to knit back together, the crushed bones becoming whole once more, like clay taking proper shape in an artisan’s hands. But the magic burned as it left her. She closed her eyes and lost herself in the pain for a moment.")

###I also love how Soraka is this legend amongst most of the lands of Runeterra where she spent a "millennia" exploring...

  • Freljord - "Some tribes of the Freljord still speak of a far wanderer, a horned healer who soothed the icy bite of the most brutal winters."
  • Zaun - "In the depths beneath Zaun, rumors float of a lilac skinned medic who would purify weary lungs from the ravages of the alchemical Gray."
  • Ionia - "In troubled Ionia, the oldest myths of the Vastayashai’rei recall a seer who communed with the stars themselves, and called upon their light both to heal the wounded and scorch those who would do further harm to the First Lands."

She. Is. Affiliated. With. Syndra.

Now, we already knew that but now that's official. She is the one who sent Kalan to watch over her. That begs the question: why?

Overall I really like the new Soraka lore. Feels really great!

I find a lot of similarities with Taric, especially when it's told in her bio (I believe) that she cannot save the ones that don't want to be saved (which is the same line of Taric short story).

I always found the health cost on her W in-game bizarre, but they really made it work in the lore. I enjoyed the story more than I expected to.

Yep, I absolutely LOVE her new lore, it's so fleshed out, she seems like a whole new character, they even made her current abilities canon in the lore, I love every bit of it.

I really wish she had more voice lines now... to expand her character even further!

I agree!!! It's so much more than I expected it to e, not action packed, but def fulfilling, soothing and compelling, and we got hinted towards a new race of Vastaya!! perhaps now with the changes she can get some more power added back to Q lol, unlikely yh... but i'd love if she were actually able to go mid (like season 5).

I thought it was extremely uneventful. Her narrative hardly evolved, the writers gave me nothing new or intriguing to be revealed, not anything I didn't already know, comprehend or presumed beforehand.

It left me wanting.

Also, the art is breathtaking! I love her more practical tunic, and the lighting and colors are so pretty.

I absolutely love what riot did with my favorite support; I feel as if she is finally complete and her moves in game match her story.

Great job guys!!

(sorry for my english, i'm french ^^) i have two ideas about soraka: first, it seems obvious that she is an aspect and not a celestial entity like aurelion or bard. Then she created a new body with her stars magic (there are enough atoms in stars to form organic matter), or it is like all the manifestations that we know, and she is reincarnated in a runnetteran (surely a vastaya, that's why she stays close to her vastaya tribe in targon) in both cases, I like soraka. Tell me if I'm wrong or if you agree
