This is super old. I believe it's just put there for decoration
It's not a champ teaser. It depicts the conflict they express through Purple vs Blue sides. One is very controlling over magic, and the other lets it flow free. Their names have slipped me at the moment. Both were brought to their knees, unable to strike the other down.
Could this possibly be referring to summoners....what if the summoners were the Protectorate and Magelords form Aatroxes lore that battled in the location known to us as Summoners Rift?
This might be a placeholder for the banners they are suppose to implement
It looks to me like they are bowing their heads in reverence to their new God teemo.
