Is Warwick...good? Or neutral?

I have been debating this since I checked out his lore and have been introduced to him.

Info that says he may be good:

  • it says in his lore that though he's turned into a monster, he's still sane inside but is constantly fighting for control. Even going as far as to say he goes after those with " the scent of murder" on them.
  • some of the quotes he says indicates his sane part trying to tell those to run or escape, before his monster part takes it as a thrill.
  • like I stated before he's constantly fighting himself and tries to turn the monster part against those who have done wrong, and fights his endless hunger for blood.

Info that show's he's neutral:

  • despite all his efforts, he still struggles against the scent of blood and loses control once he catches the scent. It could be on anyone, bad or innocent.
  • in his lore it states he still remembers the scream of a little girl and it still haunts him.
  • his endless hunger for blood makes him a threat, to the point where even his sane side can't guide it towards murderers.

Now this is just some of the information I discovered since I started playing league and have read up on him. But I still don't have a clue rather or not he's good or not. Anyone care to share the light on this subject?

Warwick was a criminal, not necessarily a terrible person, but definitely a lawbreaker. His motivations before turning were likely based on whatever illegal activity he was involved in, not just to be bad.

Since turning, he has forgotten most of his memories and resorts to hunting criminals as way to hold on to his past and maintain what humanity he has left. Yes, he is driven by the smell of blood and becomes uncontrollable when the chemicals are pumped into him, but that doesn't really matter considering he was already hunting the criminals to begin with.

I would say Warwick is neutral. Although he is killing "criminals", some of whom may be just doing what they can to survive in horrible conditions of Zaun, he is not doing it because of an innate sense of justice or to protect people. He's doing it because that's all he has left which is the tragic part of his story.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I'm glad you are taking an interest in the lore and I really wish there were more new players who would take a gander at it.

He should be neutral. He loses control from time to time, killing everything in his way. For example, in his story, he wasn't able to tell anymore if it were the thugs killing that young woman or himself.

But he doesn't really care and that is supported by many of his quotes. "Can't save you all... don't want to..."

He has given in to the beast he became. He believes that what he does will help Zaun in the end, but he doesn't care if he is killing innocent people in the process. That recklessness makes him neutral in my eyes.

Doesn't help that he isn't able to actually make decisions based on ethics as long as there is spilled blood. He just kills.

He's Dexter on bathsalts.

My understanding is that he's a vigilante, but ultimately good. He loses control of himself, but still typically targets his enemies.

Depends on your definition of good. Is someone who is willing to sacrifice innocents(or at least small fry criminals) for the greater good a good, neutral or even evil person? Some would see such a person as good, while others might even argue that this kind of behavior is evil.
