Could be me imagining things, but is not completly out of the realm of possibility. https://youtu.be/3Eu7NzzHC84?t=1m18s

"We also wanted to create an aggressive playmaker, someone who doesn’t just save a drowning ally, but who forces their enemies to drown themselves… by their own hands."

I mean, tentacles are a octopus hands. And they surely hold tight with them. Also, that spectral tentacle trying to drag MissFortune to the oceanic floor is the only thing in the trailer that we couldn't fit in the lore we had saw until now. The most similar things were Illaoi and Nagakabouros, but after "Shadow and Fortune" we have no reason to think of them as enemies. Could also be a spirit from the shadow islands, but the Black Mist was never saw unleashing undead creatures under water. And that creature seemed to depict a very different design to Thresh and the undead fighting Lucian at the end.

I didn't think about that, really. I always assumed it was something with Illaoi, but you could be right. Good thinking.

Maybe not Bilgewater. There are more than one seas. And the new champion could very well be from either of those.
