Why did Riot remove Kayle?

Listen, I'm coming back up here after writing all of this. I love this game okay? I just want League to be the best it can be. (Reposted because something went wrong with the other one I made, and the edit tool wouldn't let me fix the mistake. It was 2 minutes old anyway)

This isn't Kayle. Her design is completely and utterly beyond anything I would recognize as Kayle. It's some new Targon champion that they decided would take the slot of one of my all time favorite looking champions in the game. Not most played, mind you, that kit was so clunky I thought my fingers were going to sprain an ankle trying to play her which is why I was eagerly awaiting a rework and a visual update. But this isn't Kayle. When I opened my launcher I thought I was looking at some terrible new Karma skin not the bleeding edge of your company's work. I'm trying to chill and not be some stupid little pisant on the forums whining about something I like changing but it's hard not to when I see something I enjoy about the game being ripped from it and replaced with this utterly forgettable and unmemorable design. Kayle was always Samus inspired, being this badass clad in full armor that you wouldn't even know is a woman if you didn't know beforehand, the blonde hair and orange armor and so on. But now? What is there to say about the new design? What is there to say AT ALL? White and purple boob plate lady with a purple fucking leotard? A purple fucking leotard? God I wish whoever came up with this design would just read this post just to know how horribly disappointed I am in their work. You had everything, everything there to work with, and the best, the fucking BEST you could come up with was this fucking Warcraft 3 extra?? It's pathetic. She looks like a hearthstone card. Old Kayle was just a girl in armor but it least it was ARMOR. the whole idea was that it was FULL, SENSIBLE, REAL FUCKING ARMOR. That was the entire crux of the champion, the idea that the entire design was based around, this beautiful woman completely obscured by glorious golden plate of holy origin, the idea of celibacy in beautiful angels, etc. And don't even get me started on the liquid gold aesthetic that she had in the old splash art, that was BEAUTIFUL. I was hoping SO bad that the visual update would do more with that, because it is utterly unique in the game. The way she runs her fingers through the molten metal like it's nothing, dragging it up into a conqueror's fist? Amazing. Now you have warden Sivir. You have devolved from what is probably one of the most simplistic character designs in league of legends and how that was managed I truly have no fucking clue. This design is unrecognizable as anything, it says nothing, it has no substance and has no meaningful thought that was put into it. It is a truly worthless design, fit I guess to go along with the painfully dull aesthetic League has had for a while now. This game used to look cool and unique, now it looks like a fucking mobile game. At least pizza feet and low poly models had some soul in them, had some saturated fucking colors and some interesting fucking designs and looked different from the other champions in this game.

Demacia was first, the Warcraft inspired (admit it I see those pauldrons on Garen) nation being turned into a bunch of fascist xenophobes which I'm assured has NOTHING to do with the modern political climate, and now the just plainly biblical inspired champions are spouting this stupid fucking rhetoric. In a game where good and evil is constantly being tested, could it not have done to just have one just ONE fucking champion to embody true good, and one to embody true evil? Could literally NOTHING interesting be done be contrasting this with the various ideas of what other characters find to be good? You seem to love shoving voicelines into the game at record speeds nowadays, could Kayle or morgana not have been given the role of a kind of metaphorical judge on some characters actions? For example, what if Morgana plainly loved the way Draven treated people up for execution in Noxus or the discord leBlanc sowed in Noxian history, could Kayle not have commented on the actions for the three Freljordian sisters vying for power and at what costs their power has come at? No, lets just knock down another statue for the sake of making a pile out of the rubble.

I put too much time and effort into this garbage, I just wanted to get my thoughts on 'paper' and see how others thought. I wanted to go into how the Morgana design is vomit inducing but I actually cared about Kayle and took it personally when somebody decided to pull down their pants and relive themselves on something I loved.

I don't understand why people think a rework always has to preserve the champion.

The same deal happened to past champions that were reworked: Sion Yorick Swain Galio Aatrox Urgot Gangplank Trundle etc...

A rework doesn't always preserve the champions theme, character, gameplay, or design, and it is evident that this is the case from previous reworks.

Riot reworks champions based on their visions on how they can be improved. It's fine to disagree with it, but acting surprised when they do it is unreasonable

There is no true good and true evil. Also, Kayle wasn't Samus inspired, it just happened to be a coincidence. Old kayle didn't work, new one probably will. That's all that matters

too much text not enough tldr. from what little i read i can:

  1. sympathize with you because riot always deletes the hell out of champions during reworks and then makes new champs with the same name

  2. Suggest you take a look at transcended kayle bc she has the most similar colors to old kayle at t4 until one of the more armored skins gets a chroma

I would actually make a response to this if you weren't being so immature about it. You're essentially saying that the rework is garbage because it wasn't what you envisioned it to be, calling the lore team a bunch of "millennial failures", and just going full rage mode.

Take it back to the drawing board, compose yourself, and constructively discuss what you actually dislike about the new Kayle and how it can be changed for the better.
