No new lore event?

After Bilgewater, there's been decidedly no new in-game lore event for LoL. Considering how fun Black Market Brawlers, the short stories, music and announcer was it's really a shame that we've had nothing of note this year. After being let down around Halloween at the mention of there being no Harrowing, and teased about a Targon-driven event that never happened, many of us are left wanting for something. Given the new importance of lore with the creation of the Foundations team at Riot - are we going to see something in the near future?

Sincerely, someone who is still salty about never seeing the awesome Butcher's Bridge after the last event.

Edit: I really enjoy the new lore Riot has been putting out, and love the expanded stories to each of the champions they've been revisiting. My question relates more to Freljord/Bilgewater/Harrowing level events which included new maps, music, modes and stories.

I mean, we did go to Mount Targon, Shurima and the Shadow Isles in recent memory, so I'd say we've had some good lore outings this year. Are they Bilgewater level? No, but I remember when everyone was asking for lore to not be tied to such big events, and to just have lore for the sake of having lore, which is pretty much what we've been getting. Is it sad that a Bilgewater esque event is unlikely in the future? Yeah it is. I loved it. I'd love to see more like it. But despite this I'm totally fine with lore with no other bells and whistles attached, because that's nice, but not necessarily needed. These things don't need to be tied together, though it's nice when they are.

I think they said that they wanted to focus on updating the lores before making new lore events, because it just takes too much resources to do these events, that it slows down the update-process.

I love Yoricks new lore. I like how they are connecting people more and adding new depths rather than events.
