Syndra was imprisoned for being to powerful and a danger without second thought and as such dislikes people because of the jaded interactions with people her powers have caused Riven's whole troop was wiped out by SInged's chem bombs, she went to get help, her rune sword broke, she was put on trial and is basically working off a debt to Ionia because everything she believed Noxus represented was a lie Darius.... Have you seen the comic? If not go read Blood of Noxus and come back Azir lost all of Shurima and died Varus is a darkin who stuck by his duty and defended a place which cost him his family Jayce and Viktors whole story is pretty sad from friendly rivals to conflicting ideals Trynda's people were killed off Yasuo was not only falsely accused of a crime he didn't commit but also had to kill his own brother yone due to the incident Kayn is trying to beat a Darkin in a battle of will to impress and surpass his master which if the previous Darkin host are any example shows the grim fate that likely awaits Kayn Lux can't show Demacia her true self because she is a mage Nunu's mom is dead Nidalee not only lost her human family, but then her cougar family as well Sona is a mute orphan with no recollection of her parents who was taken in by a woman who taught her how to use her instrument and ended up Galio is a self fulfilling prophecy, he only is used to fight mages, which is the only thing that gives him life Irelia is literally fighting Noxus against the ideals of her people Shyvana had to kill her own mother and as far as we know never knew her father Shen and Zed used to be peers but zed killed shen's father and his order forming the order of shadows and becoming rivals after years of tension and disagreement Janna is like a goddess that was all but forgotten Sylas was imprisoned for being born a mage and is fighting against the beliefs of his people Morgana and Kayle were born to the aspect of justice, dividing their mothers power upon her apparent death and Kayle believes she's carrying out justice and ends up killing her father causing a lot of what is presently happening in Demacia Amumu is a sad mummy Kassadin went to save his daughter and come out like that Warwick used to be a man until Singed Wuju was basically wiped out entirely save for Master Yi Pyke is.......... do I really need to explain this one? Kalista used to have a lover whom shes all but forgotten

Ryze The dude basically had to watch how all his efforts into saving the world from starting a magical nuclear world war failed and how everyone was destroying each other with tbose weapons of mass destruction, had to kill his father-figure Tyrus, best friend Yago, to try to stop another Rune War from happening again, and he had to kept doing this kind of messed up shit that he absolutely hates doing for around 1000 years, even killing innocents sometimes so the world doesn't blow up. And when he finally caught a glimpse of hope that he will get some help in his quest or that he could pass down his task onto Kegan, the World Runes took that away from him too and transformed Kegan into Brand, who became Ryze's mortal enemy. If this backstory isn't depressing and sad asf idk what is

Renekton made 2 huge sacrifices in his life.

One, he faced and accepted obliteration by power of the Sun Disc, carried his brother to the platform in his arms. Although he was gifted in the end with Ascension, it was a self-sacrifice with unselfishness that shows us how undeniably honored he was.

Second, he dragged Xerath into the Tomb of the Emperors for goodness of Shurima and the world. This sacrifice is even bigger than the first because death is quicker and less painful than 3000 years of imprisonment in darkness. This time, his gift was madness and trickstery against his beloved brother.

His story is so tragic he is almost at the same tier with Amumu imo (Which I think is the worst, worse than Lucian and Kalista.)

No, he's not. Varus was trapped in the well at the Temple of Pallas. Valmar and Kai, the gay hunter couple, went there, were attacked by Noxians, and threw themselves into the well in a desperate attempt to save themselves after one of them was mortally wounded. Then Varus fused their bodies into one, got out, and is now looking for his sister in Shurima.

Riven is much deeper than that. Do you know why her sword broke? She asked Yasuo's master to break it for her, and when he did, the energy it released killed him. This caused Yasuo to be wrongfully accused of the murder, and he killed his brother for no reason. That's why Riven went on trial. It was a murder trial to find out the truth.

Nunu's mom is dead

Was it confirmed she's dead? I don't remember if it was or not. We can assume she's dead, and that is likely true, but nothing is really set in stone unless said otherwise.

No, she didn't. Her lore is literally 2 paragraphs long. Its not that hard to fact check.

Again, this goes deeper. They were overall fine until they started hunting Jhin. It traumatized all of them, but Zed was the worst off. Kusho refusing to help Ionia during the invasion was the final straw, and Zed slaughtered him in order to fully embrace the way of shadows and cast away balance, which he saw as a hindrance.

Janna is like a goddess that was all but forgotten

She's a wind spirit that guided sailors for centuries until Piltover/Zaun started working in the Sun Gates. The construction went horribly wrong, though, and it was Janna who saved everyone, and she now protects Zaun.

While Pantheon’s origins are unknown and more than likely to be rage inducing rather than sad.

The story of his meat suit, Atreus, is heartbreaking.

Nautilus If we consider his real story to be a betrayed sailor who is seeking the guilty of his misery and who was before he.. well, before he became this being that he is now. Maokai should also be here since like many others, he saw what he loved most be destroyed and he is just seeking of a way to purify his lands no matter if that kills him or not
