Lore Battle - Skarner vs Rek'sai

Well, the Skarner Skarner lore is out and its flippin awesome.

It might even hint at possible new rework (what is that like his 4th? lol). In it, i noticed he dug underground to engage the human theives, then burst out of the sand "I feel as though my body is being crushed by the air, so I burrow... I release sunbright energy and sharp crystals burst from the ground, impaling flesh and cracking spines."

Made me instantly think of RekSai . Both look like they are more or less the same size lore wise (its know than ingame models dont match lore size Cough AurelionSol cough)

Both are the strongest of their respective races. So, who would win? The most powerful and ferocious of the magical and intelligent Brackern race Skarner or The apex and largest specimen of the primeval void Xer'sai RekSai

Definitely looks like it would be a close match. Money would be on Skarner, since he is intelligent. I wish Riot could do a big lore battle in one of their 4 part stories (like shadow and fortune ecs). Would be cool to read.

Overall I think this lore piece was made to kinda fit his gameplay a bit more,I mean before there wasn't a reason why he'd go around and get a power boost from random crystals. Now we know that these crystals actually contain his people,so it fits a bit more.

Though his lore mentions several times how he summons crystaline spikes from the ground making me wonder if they plan a new effect for his Q

Imagine Skarner bringing back some of the crystals that he found to his cavern only to find out that the sai dug into it and are attacking his people.

Even when comparing void and crystal powers, one thing to remember is that size is not in Skarner's favour; he's at least half Rek'Sai's size, given how he's maybe about the size of a truck and she's as big as a two story house.

This isn't me calling anything, just an extra detail I wanna throw in there.

I will not lie. Once I read Skarner new lore. I what a Brackern Xer'sai skin so I could ship them......hell I ship them any way.
