Wait I thought Riot was against profanity when it comes to champion voice lines?

Ryze

So I was looking at Ryze (for other reasons), until I decided to listen to his voice lines because I haven't heard all of them. Which is where I came across this one line...

They aren't wholly against profanity. The most we've seen getting removed in terms of voice lines (so far) were two lines from Xayah where she says "shit".

Outside of those two lines being cut, we have a fair amount of swearing going on in some Champion's voice lines.

Ryze: "All this would be so much easier if I didn't give a damn." "That's what happens when you piss off an archmage!"

Pyke: "You're growin' on me...Like a barnacle. On my ass."

Kled: "My blood is piss and vinegar!" "Damn trespassers!" "Oh, you prancin' bastard!" "I'm from all over. It's next to nowhere and SHUT THE HELL UP." "I don't have trouble communicatin'. Words is just treacherous bastards." "Well, my foot wanted to meet your ass, and I'm about to give 'em a SHOTGUN WEDDING."

Etc. - it's also worth noting that Kled has a voice line;

"Holy S#@%, where are we?" Skaarl growls "...Guess we'll have to kill our way out!"

where the word "shit" is censored with a comedic bleep. Unique to Kled, probably not gonna be repeated again, but, still worth noting.

So, yeah. Riot's totally open to letting Champions swear where it's appropriate.

Multiple champions have said real curses at this point so I think its safe to say they are ok with profanity.

I remember ass, arse, and shit from a few fellas. There are others, but I know Pyke, Ryze, Xayah, Swain, etc. had/have profanity lines.

Piss off really isn't considered an offensive profanity in NA. Considering we use "I'm pissed off" pretty often, it's rather quaint to tell someone that.

The more explicit version that starts with F is usually used in our country.
