MF discussion: what does the community want in an Ulti Skin?

ModKnightsKemplar·3/6/2018, 2:54:34 PM·40 votes·4,289 views

So I'm already seeing a lot of complaints about this skin, and it already reminds me of the Ultimate Udyr skin. I'm sure Riot has put in a ton of work for this, so I'd like to get a thread going that focuses on constructive feedback about the skin.

Here are some prompts to give an example of what I mean: What's the thing that every Ultimate Skin needs? What could Riot do to this one to make you want to buy it? What should they consider in the direction for their next Ultimate Skin? Why is transforming mid-game not as compelling with MF as it was with Elementalist Lux?

I feel that, if you're disappointed with a skin, the best way to address that is to tell Riot what you would have wanted to see, and perhaps some details that you didn't care about (so they know where to save time = money on the development of the next one). Let's get that creativity going, eh?!

(Yes, I know we haven't seen the skin in action yet. It's a balancing act between getting your thread out early and actually having info, isn't it? :P)

EDIT: Finally watched the dev diary, and there's a great explanation in there for how/why the skin turned out the way it did. Thanks to everyone for sharing your thoughts on the thread; I hope this is a good place for Riot to get feedback if they come looking for it! :)

My main complaint is about the champion choice and just the overall quality looking more akin to a Legendary skin other than an Ultimate. There's not a special quirk about it that makes it unique.

Udyr finally masters the spirits when he maxes out an ability. Ezreal is the oldest but he transforms during the course of a game. Lux can choose which element she wants to represent And Sona comes with 3 different models, VFX's and of course THREE different music scores.

This skin does not provide any of that and could've just been a legendary skin.

Plus why MF? We got a SECOND ADC Ultimate skin before a top laner gets one? It just feels like Riot plays it safe and goes for Mass appeal by picking a broad theme and a very popular champion.

Chembaron Yamada3/6/2018, 3:17:14 PM27 votes

I am fine with the general mechanic of the skin changing in base. Especially since she wears a mecha suit and just is changing equipment basically. But I think they didn't go far enough with that. The skin just changes colours and her guns. In my opinion, the design of the mecha suit should have changed completely.

However, I think that most of the disappointment comes from their general choice. There were tons of threads here, discussing that the next ultimate skin should be a top laner. Sometimes, Rioters answered and it seemed that they agreed with that.... But yet we get another ADC.

I had highly preferred if Riot had focused on giving us a complete ultimate skin team first, before going for the "sex sells booty pirate". The backlash would have been less, if they had given us the expected top laner first, before going for the money maker again.

Especially since Miss Fortune already got a skin 6 months ago. The ultimate skin was in work for longer, I know that. But that let's me ask: why did they decide for Starguardian Miss Fortune then, when she already had a skin in work? They could have given that to Taliyah, for example.

Riot really should reconsider their decision making in skin development. I never felt that disappointed about a skin choice.

I woke up.

I got off bed.

And turned on my computer like usual.

I went through the forum and my usual shit like a zombie on crack. I pandered the meaning of my meaningless life, as I sighed at the prospect of being always alone with no one to fall to, no one for me to look after or for me to be looked after by, no one to help me when I had an emergency or in need to care, and no one to remember me and to take me home when I was dead and dusted.

But then, suddenly, I caught something in the corner of my eyes, something unbelievable, something, magical. I quickly scrolled back up to look for what I had just missed. No, my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

Yes, FINALLY, Riot just announced a new skin, a new ULTIMATE skin, for URGOT the top lane Juggernaut. "Wow, just about time, Riot." I'd thought. Oh the skin is Japanese mythological based with Urgot transforming between multiple forms of Yokai monsters! Gee, what a badass, this is a must buy! Thanks, Riot, thanks for giving me purposes in life again, right at when I'd thought I completely lost it. You're my savior, Riot. Please take my money, take ALL my money!11!!!

........

But I woke up again with a drool on the side of my face.

I scratched my head and immediately got off bed.

And I ran to my computer that was submerged in trash like usual, and turned it on immediately.

I flied through the forum like a zombie on crack. "It can't be, it was too real. It was not a dream." Taking the divine prophetic signs of his dream... No! It was reality, it has to be! My heart was burning with purpose and passion as if I was reborn.

"There it is! My mind was not playing tricks on me!" I stopped at the thread and information that proudly announced Riot's new ultimate skin. My hands shaking with excitement, as I clicked the link with a sweaty hand holding the mouse, and my heart's beating sound was all I could hear.

It was however, a mech skin for Miss Fortune, another ADC champ, and it's the ultimate skin.

"Huh?"

To me this looks like it fits the Ultimate Skin fantasy pretty well, frankly.

We get four (admittedly similar) suits, each with dramatically different gun designs. Each gun design has its own unique animation set that gives character to the most defined elements of the suit.

Additionally, we'll probably get a cool transformation animation, complete animation changes, a new voice pack, and specific particle effects for each suit, which could change dramatically.

It's basically "select one of four Legendary skins, and change them as you wish mid-game." That seems on par with other Ultimate skins to me.

So, while I do wish they'd take a bit more liberties with the suit designs (even changing the shoulder pads would give some distinction between the different suit types while retaining most of the shape profile and silhouette, I can't ultimately complain -- it seems like a pretty solid concept to me, pending how dramatic the particle effects and animations actually end up being.

Leylania3/6/2018, 3:36:47 PM13 votes

The skin just looks unbeliavbly boring (and kinda ugly tbh) to me. It has the quality standarts of the Ezreal and Udyr skins to me, and I'm pretty sure we can all agree at this point that both of those skins would never be considered Ultimate if they came out today. They didn't think about which champions would fit most for a skin like that, they just gave it to Miss Tit..uhm..Fortune because then most people would buy it. Which is okay overall since they need to make money but then don't make it this obvious. And they could have atleast changed the hairstyle.

MetaVolca3/6/2018, 3:04:56 PM11 votes

If they're going to call this a Ultimate skin, I expect each form to have a NEW, UNIQUE model that isn't just a Chroma. Wow the guns change and nothing else, that's great because the guns are an extremely minuscule part of the model that I'll barely notice from a full camera view. People are saying to wait for the SFX, but the Lux skin had both New Models and New SFX, not just glorified chroma skins.

Edit: Ultimate, not Legendary.

StarGuardianWeeb3/6/2018, 7:01:15 PM6 votes

The issue is no one actually gets what the skin is nor cares. They just wanna be made they're fantasy of a 5 man ultimate skin team comp isnt happening yet.

Like i wasnt happy either but i can still appreciate this AND look forward to a top laner sometime, maybe one will come out when top lane isnt such a garbage role to play (even meddler thoughts say they are working on this.)

But no in typical league fashion everyone just wants to cry and try to demean it. "its just chromas!!!" Oh really? gosh i missed where chromas add on an entire new VO, change Ability VFX/SFX, and even the entire design of the outfit. Can anyone teach me how to swap colors in the middle of a game? I must have missed it cause see i thought they were just "alternate colors" that were sold for less than any skin and did nothing more than change those said colors. Clearly i missed something if a skin as sick as "Gun wielding mecha bounty hunter with 4 seperate forms" is comparable in any way.

I guess by using the same logic, Lux just has chromas in a choose your path format, sona is just a bunch of chromas, with a soundtrack, ezreal is just a shiny chroma that is RNG based. and udyr is just.....well bad.

Rune Ocarina3/6/2018, 3:11:59 PM6 votes

Honestly, I'm a little bummed out the suit has these specific descriptions on what each suit's capabilities are, but in game we just get a color swap and a gun swap. It's just extremely boring. We don't even get a hair style change - and we know this is possible since Elementalist Lux exists, who has different skins, hairstyles AND effects. We haven't seen the animations or effect yet, but the skin is already a let down being an ultimate skin that I don't thinks those effects will convince me to buy it.

It sucks to say but I would delay the release and work on the skin more. Give us some more unique designs for the suits so it's not just an 80% color swap plus the gun swap. There was a guy on reddit who said what I feel exactly about this skin: https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/82ex7r/leagues_next_ultimate_skin_gun_goddess_miss/dv9iaee/?utm_content=permalink&utm_medium=front&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=leagueoflegends

midnight oil243/6/2018, 3:23:08 PM6 votes

Honestly, I like it so far. Not every ultimate needs to have a mini-game or criteria or special team-wide things. The VFX will probably be very different between the different models, and the models really needed to be kept similar for recognizability. The models have a cool look, and I'm excited for the effects and interactions. Maybe I'm not fit to comment on this stuff, but not everyone hates the skin. It's not as good as E. Lux, but that doesn't mean it's horrible, and if Riot has to keep coming up with new stuff in ultimate skins it would only be so long before something like this would crop up.

Also, I remember the boards going crazy over Lux's ten chromas when Elementalist was coming out, so I'm just going to be optimistic.

DerMangoJoghurt3/6/2018, 3:53:59 PM6 votes

I think the skin looks really great, but I'm personally just not interested in the fantasy attached to it. 'Miss Fortune, but in the future with bigger guns' doesn't feel as exciting as 'Last defender of humanity channeling elements through emotion'.

Jinx Hunter3/6/2018, 7:21:18 PM4 votes

I want it for another damn champion. Namely a melee top laner. Hell even a TANK, I dont care. Just not for marksmen and especially not Miss fortune.

The Dreamwalker3/7/2018, 3:13:29 AM4 votes

Well, my whole thing is that it just feels rushed.

Each of these skins have a backstory and they follow that backstory.

Leaving Udyr out because I don't really pay attention to him. Ezreal already has the whole AI cyber theme. His story is about time, and this implemented because of how his suit upgrades over time.

Dj Sona is suppose to be able to change whenever because that is part of being a Dj. You can switch a track whenever you feel like it.

Lux has the story of finding herself. Lux finds herself throughout her combat and eventually arrives at her final form.

They just seemed to re-cycle Miss Fortune's base story with minor changes.

One thing I would like to point out is that you can recognize Lux, Udyr, Ezreal, and Sona from the skin model and artwork. I don't really get that from GGMF. I was hoping for an Exo-suit MF with the long, flowing hair and large, oversized pistols that looks kind of like Lucian's guns.

The thing that makes me super sad about this skin is that Riot themselves gave up on it. They didn't seek any new way of creating something unique for Miss Fortune. I feel like they created 4 legendary skins and made them a bundle pack for 2775. They just sorta threw something together. The good ideas they had they just discarded for this product. I would like it if they could spice up the recalls, perfect the identity of Miss Fortune in this skin, among other things.

I would really like it if they would add in something that made her feel like a bounty hunter... or have some reason for changing forms. She should have something similar to Lux with the combat mechanic.

If you read any of my other posts, then yes, my opinion on this skin has changed. I was excited and thrilled, but now I am feeling down about this skin. I can't really try to support this skin because Riot themselves GAVE UP. They had so many nice things in the concept arts, yet they discarded them and released this. I hope to GOD they add those concept art changes back into this. The "halo" I liked because it was MF's hat (I love her hats :P) and was special to her as the Gun Goddess. I would have liked if her different forms made her look like a bad-ass divine character.

Her base could have the Halo. The others could focus on her arms (making them appear like wings or something). I don't know, that is just my two-sense.

Cowgirl Ed3/6/2018, 5:24:42 PM4 votes

Maybe don't give it to fucking Miss Fortune?

Steelflame3/7/2018, 7:47:22 AM4 votes

I think one of the best ways they could truly make her skin distinct is if they made her replace the in game announcer with Exo.

This would put a massive flair to the skin, by making you take note wherever you are to it's existance.

Other then that, I think the particles are just a BIT too tame for each form, especially on E.

Furor Nexis3/6/2018, 4:08:27 PM4 votes

In conversation with other folks at the CC Discord, it looks like GGMF had a similar situation to PFE, in that it started out as a Legendary but had such good ideas and mechanics it might have been bumped up, given that it's base price is 2775 RP compared to the standard of 3250.

Forhonor3213/6/2018, 4:42:13 PM4 votes

The main gripe I have with this skin is that:

  • It doesn't really add anything to the Ultimate skin roster that we've seen before - Oh, she can have different chromas that give new effects but didn't we already get that with Lux? There's not really anything that new to add that we've seen before. An ultimate should be used to present something new that we haven't seen in other Ultimates.

  • It feels more like a Legendary - I don't get that vibe of, "Oh, yes. This is an Ultimate. This will definitely be worth buying." It feels more like an overpriced Legendary with swap out chromas from the looks of it so far. Maybe if the animations are truly different enough it might make a small difference but it still doesn't feel worth it.

  • **MF ALREADY GOT A SKIN ROUGHLY 6 MONTHS AGO/ WE ALREADY HAVE AN ADC WITH AN ULTIMATE! **- Probably my biggest issue. We've had this scenario last year with Master Yi & Jhin (and Vi the more I think about it) where they got 2+ skins within a certain time frame but not over a year apart, hell not even 6 months apart. MF just got Star Guardian back in Sept. last year, leading her to a total of 10 skins. Now 6 months later she's getting yet another skin bringer her up to 11 total, above others that desperately need a new skin Shen Urgot or those who haven't gotten one at all AurelionSol Taliyah Kled. We also have an ADC with an Ultimate already. Why add another? A top laner could of been picked to make a full team comp. It makes no sense to me why they couldn't do that. If we're going to be adding more Ultimates to champs, we should, at least IMO, try to get a full round across every lane before heading back to previous lanes/roles.

Other than that, the skin just looks decent. It has a cool design, I guess, but it doesn't feel Ultimate quality and it needed to wait maybe a full year after MF's SG skin, just to give some time and possibly get more skins to champs who need them.

SeaChange3/6/2018, 9:15:35 PM3 votes

I feel like there should be a THEMATIC REASON behind the fact that a skin is ultimate. The more successful ultimate skins have this. With Ezreal the thematic of an upgrading AI suit is pretty damn cool. With Elementalist Lux, the idea of embodying different elements was really cool too. Lastly, DJ Sona's uniqueness was through the skin's connection to different musical styles.

With GGMF, she just "changes exosuits" for no reason. This would be kinda cool if the exosuits looked different from each other, but they really don't. The changing particles and projectiles are pretty cool, but don't make up for the lack of direction. I'm glad they lowered the pricepoint, but this skin would have been better off as a 1850 skin instead. If I mained MF, I wouldn't be angry, though. It's a great skin just not ultimate. Riot made a good choice with the price, but the skin just doesn't deliver (from what we've seen) for the hype it was given.

Wild Geese3/6/2018, 11:47:27 PM3 votes

I just watched the previews and oh my lord it's worse than i thought. It doesn't look like Miss Fortune, it doesn't sound like Miss Fortune. There's a talking AI? Everything is different. The silhouette is completely different.

This isn't a Miss Fortune skin, this is some sort of other character Riot came up with. They are unregognizable. It reminds me of those HoN skins where the character is a different character.

Ahri Baka3/6/2018, 3:00:57 PM3 votes

MF skin is an Ultimate one?

Blitzz3/6/2018, 7:54:42 PM3 votes

It looks very very ugly imo. The skin is fucking horrible. Riot ignores top laners completly balance wise, can we at least have our own fucking skin?

deceptopus3/7/2018, 2:47:51 AM3 votes

The thing that seems to be pissing off the most people is that it's another adc getting the skin instead of a top laner or someone with less skins. That's not really the issue to me, even though those things are true, because even if the skin did come out for one of those under served champs, there'd still be 50 other champs who didn't get anything. It's not reasonable to expect ultimates to be made to fill such a huge gap. Complain that riot isn't punching out 750 skins to fill that hole.

More importantly, as a big MF fan, both as a character and player, and as someone who has bought a bunch of MF skins, I am squarely in the target zone that riot wants to be hitting with this. Yet I'm not sold. Frankly the quality isn't there. For an "Ultimate" skin, a skin that riot expects people to pay THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS for, there's too many just basic quality issues.

First- The forms Just to begin with, the chroma thing isn't that good of an idea. People were raising this issue back with lux. You're paying ultimate skin price for a bunch of 750 quality skins, of which you'll probably have 1 or 2 that you actually like and use, and ignore the rest. This is already a bad concept for a skin that's supposedly the HIGHEST QUALITY POSSIBLE, because no one will actually appreciate the full breadth of the work put into it. Then you get into the differences between these two highly comparable ults. Lux got 11 chromas in her ult. MF gets 4. Already that's a bad start. Of the 4 chromas, 3 are almost identical, all sharing a red/black/white color scheme only slightly altered. The only real change model wise is her guns animate differently, but it's really only noticeable if you're zoomed way in, it's not something you can appreciate from afar. If that's where the budget on this went, it was not well allocated. _Riot literally sells this chroma mechanic as MF switching out different mech suits, yet the only thing changing is the guns. _Her head area is the worst part with the only differentiation being hair color, and a barely noticeable eye patch on one chroma. Her hairstyle doesn't change at all, and the simplest thing you could do to really differentiate them isn't there. No hats. Why doesn't MF have at least one with a hat? You could even, and this might be an insane concept, give her a hat as a toggle. Giver her FOUR hats and make them a toggle.

Second- The model It's kind of clear that riot thought the chroma changing was going to sell this skin cause the model quality isn't anything special. Her face is flat out weird looking, and her hair looks significantly worse than it does in the splash or hell, just her classic hair. It's like a chunky plastic helmet. I like mf's base suit, it's fine even if it's nothing special, but her exo suit is so basic it adds basically nothing to her design other than awkward arm things that probably kicked up the animation budget a significant amount. I don't think anything would have been lost if the suit was just a single thing and she had gun arms.

Third- The VO I don't know what's going on here, but it's just terrible. Half her lines sound like MF took a xanax, half of them sound like VI is talking instead. If this is what MF's rumored VO update is going to be like, I'm going to straight out say that it's going to be the worst downgrade since tristana's. Having the exo suit talk is... well it's not great. The talking to the pet thing was fine when ez did it, and it was unbelievably obnoxious when ahri did it. I guess I'm just glad it's not as bad as ahri's but I'm pretty over the gimmick in general. The novelty has worn off. Unless riot actually made it a whole UI thing, no one was going to be impressed by it. Speaking of which, there's an idea, Why not have it so that the skin changes the UI to a sci fi theme? I'd prefer if the actual model stuff was improved, but a lot of people are complaining that for an ultimate this has nothing novel going for it like the others do, and they're right.

Overall, riot isn't going to make the people who think the wrong champ got a skin happy at this point. That's just not physically possible. A more serious concern is that the people who this skin SHOULD be making happy are disappointed in the quality and lack of features.

Risen293/6/2018, 9:15:31 PM3 votes

I think the problem can be summed up by going back to why we got the first ultimate: Riot had an idea for a cool megaman style upgrading armor skin. But it was so far ahead of other skins in terms of features and looks that they had to create an entirely new and more expensive category for it.

MF, in contrast, looks like the dev team did it backwards. They said "we need another ultimate skin. But we are out of fresh ideas. I know, lets just create a legendary skin, but create four versions of it, that way the sheer quantity of work will justify the ultimate pricetag we are aiming to achieve. "

The reason Lux and Sona worked well is because you could imagine their concept started out the same way Ezreal's did - cool ideas that could only be realized in the context of an ultimate because of thier scope.

Udyr, not so much, because you could have cut out the changing appearances with upgraded abilities, drastically cutting down the workload, and people probably would have been perfectly happy with it as a legendary skin. Arguably more happy because it leaves room for a more unique ultimate. Udyr never feels like the devs decided thier primary goal was to change udyr based on the rank of his abilities. It just feels like a generic high workload high quality skin that is very comprehensive in its features. But at least it all flows together well, works together, and makes sense contextually with the character and the skin. MF in contrast feels like blatant padding of the workload to scale the cost from legendary to ultimate in a completely unecessary and pointless way. Because nothing is interrelated. Its segmented apart in a way that could have just as easily been a bundle you buy of four separate skins. The ingame changing of them really isnt necessary and doesnt really add anything.

The Ecdysiast3/7/2018, 11:12:43 PM2 votes

The guns shouldn't be the only thing that changes with each option. The entire design should. It's kind of odd that there isn't one where it's more round and curved like Bullet Angel. With just the gun shape, it seems more like each skin is a chroma rather than a transformation.

I said this back when they made Elementalist Lux: they dug themselves a nice workload grave by setting the bar for new Ultimates so high. Sure, this is as good as Spirit Guard Udyr, but being as good as what should be Udyr's visual update isn't saying much.

Tesla Effect3/6/2018, 3:37:32 PM2 votes

This honestly should be a Legendary skin with different purchasable chromas.

TwitchInMyPants3/6/2018, 4:52:20 PM2 votes

Honestly it looks like a Legendary skin with Chromas that remodel the guns a bit.

Given other characters with ult skins have much more dramatic remodels like SGU or EL and every skin comes with a bit of extra fluff like variant voiceovers, more icons, music, unique traits to the character (Ezreal's computer talks to him as he levels stuff, Sona gets alternate songs, Lux charges energy)... Gun Goddess just doesn't seem to have that extra level of polish that justifies the higher price. I saw there was VFX for different skins but we'll have to see if they're different voices, different sound effects, or just different filters. If its just filters than even a 975 like Soul Reaver Draven is allowed to have that.

PurpleKingCrazy3/6/2018, 5:43:14 PM2 votes

I mean, why not a popular top laner getting an ultimate skin? You already got a mid, support, adc, and jungler with that. Why not Renekton ? That champ was also kinda popular around his time and is a champ that did actually snowball in bronze games. I know I don't usually like very popular champions getting ultimate skins, but I digress. MissFortune seems like a 2nd ADC getting the ultimate skin.

As I think about Renekton, maybe I would say give him a very intimidating ultimate skin, not like the previous one. You got the elemental themes for Udyr, the pulsefire into for Ezreal, the changing of elements for lux, and sound effects for Sona. Miss Fortune seems very flawed in the logic of giving her the ultimate skin and I may not agree with it. Maybe what if minions (on his side) turn to gold when Renekton plays his skin but not affecting gameplay whatsoever. I dunno, I don't have much ideas for him, but at least I tried.

SamBunzly3/6/2018, 9:04:02 PM2 votes

Well, in order to decipher what the people want in a new ultimate skin, we'd first need to break down what specific things they liked in other ultimate skins that didn't exist before.

  • Pulsefire Ezreal The evolving player model seemed to hook most people in, as well as the quality vfx that make the skin unique. You got the first skin that actually had mechanical features, and that was pretty badass.

  • Spirit Guard Udyr While I don't personally like Udyr, the idea of his skin matching his thematic is amazing. The visual effects that were tied to his ability levels really made it pop, and provided some nice reward for maxing a useful ability first, while also making you look more intimidating.

  • DJ Sona My personal favorite, DJ Sona was the first skin to do two things. Firstly, she changed the sound in-game, providing the ability for others to listen in as well, which honestly made it really shine to me. Aside from this, she was also the first to bring forth multiple chromas in a single skin.

  • Elementalist Lux While she did monopolize on the multi-chroma tactic that was used with DJ Sona, the sheer amount of detail and work put into each model, including the voiceovers and sfx really made her shine through, though I feel like her biggest appeal was the ability to combine different chroma's via their "element" to get to the next tier.

From the looks of the new Miss Fortune skin, it seems that she's only going to have a multi-chroma feature, as well as the standard detailed model and voiceovers. She's brought little to nothing new to the game and honestly doesn't seem to be worthy of the "Ultimate" tag. Multi-chroma features seem to be okay in an ultimate skin, but unless they bring an entirely new mechanic to the skin, I doubt the community will ever truly want this skin.

zlumpy3/6/2018, 9:39:08 PM2 votes
  1. don't ruin the champ after releasing the skin. What happened with Sona was a nasty bait and switch.

  2. Impact on the gameplay experience for team enemy. The large scale graphic change and variety that lux had and the music sona had are great examples. It really feels like a whole different champ even though it isn't.

  3. an effect that advances as objectives are met or the game advances. Again lux and Ez are good examples. The udyr skin is cool but it just feels shallow compaired with the rest. (May be a personal opinion though since he kinda fell off for so long)

  4. something new would be interesting. Adaptive elements to the game have been added maybe MF could get those visually. As crit/attack damage/attack speed/ etc are added to her via items and leveling maybe she could change visually in ways that show that off. Or her skills can become more visually intense in ways to show it.

Almighty3/7/2018, 12:24:44 AM2 votes

As much as i appreciate the thought, work and effort the Skin designers have put into the MF skin, i cannot close my eyes to the fact that it's a Legendary skin with Chromas that can be changed while in base.

Ultimate skins should demonstrate the latest technology Riot has aquired. They should stand out from each other, both theme-wise and tech-wise. GGMF is just giving me Pulsefire/Super Galaxy/Dreadnova/Project vibes in a different color.

My idea for an Ultimate skin would be Light/Dark Jayce, who has a living hammer. Based on which form he has dealt more damage with, the Light or Dark side takes over, completely changing his VO and VFX/SFX for both forms. But, i guess that idea will have to be suggested next year.

I'm only glad that Riot admits that GGMF does not offer anything revolutionary and they will keep her at the lower price of 2275RP.

Honestly the main thing i dislike about the skin is the huge robot arms, even though thats the entire selling point of the skin, it just doesnt feel very miss fortune, like i get its an ultimate skin and legendary/ultimate skins give them a chance to explore a completely different side of a champion but its like that can be done while still making them feel similar to the core character, the big bulky look just doesnt sit right with me and i know my opinion is irrelevant as they obviously wont be like hehe chodeywom hates the arms lets get rid xx but i dont know, maybe even something small like the hair being longer would make the skin feel more like her? just quite disappointed as i love my mf

Risen293/7/2018, 1:18:04 AM2 votes

On second look, the skin is worse than I thought. In the sense that the models aren't changing, only the gun models are changing. The rest is just a color change. That makes it seem even more like an upgunned legendary skin.

I definitely wouldn't buy it at ultimate price now. The effects would have to be pretty spectacular to make up for it.

Actually I the fact they said this is going to be a cheaper Ultimate skin got me thinking. Is it possible that they may release more then one Ultimate skin this year? If the quality isn't as high, then it could be possible that they are still planning on making one that is as high quality as the other ones or even release another lower quality Ultimate skin later this year seeing as MF's skin technically wasn't as resource consuming as something like Lux's. Technically this could be a test run for a new system where they release 2 Ultimate skins a year for reduced cost, allowing for more champs to get their own Ultimate skins when in the past they could never hope for one. Of course that's just my theory.
