So we know from Morde's new bio that the default Runeterran afterlife is a flat gray plain where you float around until you lose your sense of identity and reincarnate.

Olaf is currently looking to die gloriously in battle so that he might fight forever in Runeterran Valhalla. In Shadow and Fortune when he's fighting the undead krakenwyrm he says "Mayhap if you kill me, we shall battle forever in the realms beyond mortal ken!"

If he pulls off the dying thing eventually, he's going to be sorely disappointed.

I wouldn't expect much consistency in Runeterran afterlife. Atreus is explicitly said to have gone to some kind of celestial afterlife where his ancestor's lie. While Waarghbobo has also said that souls are reincarnated.

Current running theory is that this is one of those "all myths and afterlives are real" settings where different deaths go to different places with the reason being what faith the characters believed in, or what the writers decided at the spur of the moment.

Well when Urgot executes Olaf with his ult he says "As the bones fortold: a quiet, peaceful death."

He says it ironically of course but I can't help but think these bones use to tell the future might represent the Hall of Bones Sahn Uzal (aka Mordekaiser) strived to meet. At least, that's my theory. That in life Sahn Uzal n' Olaf share the same religious beliefs.

The same bio claims that there might be multiple afterlife realms, so your conclusion isn't necessarily true.
