So does the Void operate off vitalism?

'cuz the little bit of information we recently got on the Universe page regarding the Void paints them as bio-mechanical weapons. We already know that Void beasties don't follow the same rules as the physical universe, hence my wondering.

Do they even operate on vitalism? Is 'life energy' even a thing the Void has?

Or are they simply flesh motivated by eldritch power and otherworldly physics?
