In terms of lore; Who is the most physically powerful (Strong) champion?

Dominick Destine·1/3/2016, 2:28:18 AM·4 votes·5,022 views

I am not certain, I'd say it's Alistar but it might be Braum, Tryndamere or possibly even Sion. If I remember the lore correctly, these characters have a great reliance on raw physicality.

Jarvan, Jax, Renekton, Olaf, Nasus seem strong but not really because of their musculature, rather their weapons , tactical prowess and skill... not raw strength like the others. Leona and Vi seem more reliant on technology or magic enhancements rather than raw physical strength (Sorry Leo-chan).

Thoughts? Discuss?

Edit: Apparently Malphite is the strongest according to lore (Although more people voted Braum).... hmmm, I would have said Braum or Alistar.

Well I mean...Malphite's pretty strong.

Sure Braum punched his way in to a mountain, sure Poppy shattered a Krag Beast the size of a building with one hit to the head, but I mean it's Malphite. He's a living mountain. Anything he hits is basically dead. Broken. Shattered. A being of his magnitude could terraform Valoran by himself with very little effort, and I'm fairly certain that puts him leagues above any other champion in League based on physical prowess. The living mountain is also the champion who'd have the easiest time breaking a mountain.

A special shout out to Rammus though. He's certainly not League's strongest, but he can make earthquakes through sheer physical prowess for sod's sake. Malphite can do that by just walking around, but I'd imagine he'd give Rammus an A for effort.

As much as I like Sion, it has to be Malphite.

I mean, he's fucking huge and he is made of rocks. There is no contest...oh wait Braum punched through a mountain.

This...this is tricky.

Depends without hocus pocus and weapons

Malphite shoud be the strongest physical champion because of his Mass

I consider it blasphemous you did not consider the pinnacle of manliness himself on the list. Pantheon THE BAKER MUST BE APPEASED

Urf is the strongest champ according to lore.

TzQGRUST391/3/2016, 4:46:24 AM2 votes

Umm, Malphite is literally a mountain, nothing in league matches his physical strength.

Braum wins because most others use skill and magic while braum just uses his body and impossible to lift/break door. no offense to the others but lore wise braum wins hands down all others have some magic or swordsmanship or such backgrounds.

He's as big as half a planet minimum

the powers from Poppy in her comic vs the krug who i think is on par with malphite's depicted size lead me to believe she is the most powerful. but there are too many champs that need lore updates for a 100 clear picture. if poppy is too magical a choice then i would give it up for jax.

My beloved Azir is a ascended demigod, so obviously physically strong, enough strength to hold up entire teams.

ModKnightsKemplar1/3/2016, 6:37:52 AM1 votes

Mm... I dunno. I am still giving it to Braum. Screw mountain man.

TurquoiseYoshi1/3/2016, 2:40:56 AM1 votes

It's Braum. He punched through a mountain. He could not break an unbreakable door, so HE PUNCHED THROUGH A MOUNTAIN.

Some champions off the top of my head:

You mention Tryndamere but then say weapons are moot. He does have a huge sword, you know... He just happens to be buff.

Olaf, on the other hand, was strong enough to battle Lokfar's frost serpent, and survive. Since then, he has survived countless situations that should have killed him (he even survived the Harrowing, and wants to experience it again), and even fought Sejuani's tribe, the Winter's Claw.

Sejuani fought Olaf to a standstill. That says enough right there.

Sion was strong enough to charge through the entire Demacian army just to suffocate the king located in the very back. That strength has been further modified through necromantic means.

Alistar is immensely powerful physically; in his lore (most of which is now considered non-canon due to the the retcon), he single-handedly slaughtered an entire regiment of elite Noxian soldiers before being subdued only by magical means. He even managed to survive the Fleshing.

Malphite is an enormous sentient rock creature, and with an ability labeled Unstoppable Force, it's pretty safe to assume just what kind of strength that entails. His strength ravages the land to an almost irrevocable degree.

Cho'Gath started out small, but he only grew bigger. His strength matches his size; he can easily go toe-to-toe with many of Runeterra's finest warriors; he easily decimates a regiment of soldiers single-handedly in his splash art.

Leona is physically strong, despite her sunlight-related powers. She was born a Rakkor, the Runeterran equivalent of a Spartan, and their warriors only fight when they are outnumbered 10 to 1. Her martial prowess and natural strength is thus on par with Pantheon's, despite heavy armor.

Braum punched through a mountain, and wields a vault door (which was enchanted with True Ice by Lissandra) as a shield. That door isn't light at all by any means; if you look at how he runs in his animations he has a heavy-set bound on one side of his body just to compensate for the size and weight of the shield. Braum is entirely capable of throwing entire icebergs for fun.

Nasus is freaking buff, just saying. He's an immortal ascended being whose strength increases with each slain enemy. Renekton is strong enough to wield his weapon, forged to scale for his size. He swings it with very little effort. Both of their ultimates further increase their size and physical strength.

Also, Rek'Sai. She has turned an enormous chunk of the desert into her home. It takes a lot of strength to create tunnels that can accommodate her abnormally large size; her splash art depicts tunnels in solid rock. She's capable of essentially shredding everything in her path with her forearms. She can shred Malphite into tunnel-liner if she wanted to.

tl;dr: A lot of Champions are physically OP. My money's on Ms. Voidling, though.

Braum is the strongest. Says in his lore, he is the strongest ever.

DarthSpectrum1/7/2016, 1:32:41 AM1 votes

It would be between Braum or Malphite .

Malphite is huge, and the amount of strength to move that mass should be enormous. On the other hand, Braum's solution to a locked door is to punch through the ceiling.... and the mountain on top of it.

Mordekaiser. Read lore.

Chogath

Mogarl1/3/2016, 7:07:59 AM1 votes

How has no one mentioned Chogath? Lore wise as far as we know he doesn't stop growing. Yeah Malphite is probably bigger than a Cho'Gath that just entered Valoran (maybe, who knows how many voidlings he has devoured), but judging from the splash Cho is roughly the same size as Malphite. We don't know that he couldn't get bigger.
