How Harrowing was Mishandled imo

I love the harrowing and i look forward to it every year for Halloween. I understand that worlds happened to fall very close to Halloween so you would want to put off the harrowing so as to give it its due without being distracted by worlds but, you chose to release the harrowing story without any harrowing content. this i feel was a bad choice. I liked the bilgewater content you guys released this year, it was thought out and kept us coming back for more and i had hope that the harrowing would tie into that with the same kind of events but instead you released the harrowing story with nothing to back it up and it feels like the harrowing got done as a after thought to worlds.

Ok - this is the freshest information I could get.
Rioter Calisker posted over on the Misc board, and mentions that the Legacy skins and the slayer skins will be turning up later this week.

Not sure we'll get much more info on it before it actually goes live, but at least there's a time-frame now! Sorry this was all a little like pulling teeth :(

That's also the problem, October is done and we didn't even got the past Harrowing skins. I'm pretty sure 99% of players would have prefered the content, over the story, lore thingy

No one cares about the harrowing now. October is over. Time for turkey.

I don't think they care att all about Harrowing. For Riot I think its all about the LCS.

I Agree Fully

I agree with this completely. i understand as well that World's is extremely important and the two events competing with one another would only cause the two to compete. But still, my friends and I expected SOMETHING, anything. If anything, for it to be an almost "count-down" to Halloween with the final content. Or even the skins and map edited to Hallow's glory, being released on the day of or towards the evening. I understand most would have probably hated this due to having to assist in the Halloween revelry via siblings or family in general. But it would have felt so amazing and fit so well to fall in place like that. Like it had some relevance to the spooky nature of the holiday itself. I for one am a HUGE fan of Bilgewater and couldn't stop playing the mode and reading the story as it came; the icons tied to it only made it better! I even waited for the updates to the story, which I don't do often with the lore of games. As Halloween passed it really was a huge let down and my friends and I were left wondering "what just happened? did we miss something? Where was the build up and satisfaction?" Maybe I'm just being nerdy here. But i know I'm not alone. I'm not berating and am certainly not trying to complain. But please just give us something here; with so many other games doing something to lead up to Halloween and you guys stating that you wanted it to be similar to Bilgewater, I guess we just expected more.

I'm gonna be frank here, every year I have played, The Harrowing and Showdown have been bigger and bigger letdowns. I started playing the year they decided to not do map skins anymore, so I've always had hopes that they would come back, but instead, every year has changed and this is the point at which The Harrowing really isn't all that special to me as the player anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the skins, but the holiday events have really lost their touch, and unlinking them from their respective holidays isn't going to save anything.

Eh It's too late for me. I was thoroughly disappointed by the lack of Harrowing this year and releasing the content after the feeling of halloween is gone does not fix this for me, but at least people that really wanted the skins and already paid for RP will be able to get them. I still feel a little sick thinking of how badly this was handled :(

Vote with your money.

its almost as if they just want to wright books (maybe they should have a publisher write a book on the lore and just give us in game content lol)

Esports team and Lore/Narrative team are different.

Well TBH, If every lore piece they released was tied to an event and/or new skins (like they were already doing before) new lore would continue to come out painfully slow.
