Will the skins always be like that? - @ Star Guardian choices

I really like the familiars that Lulu and Janna have as Star Guardians, but I am not especially thrilled with their overall costume and look otherwise. What if I could purchase just the familiar for half the RP? Swapping out the bird and the pixie would be pretty cool. I know that full skin is the thing in LoL, but if Riot ever pursued the route of allowing players to buy just parts of skins, I think the Star Guardian skins would be an obvious place to look for examples of things players would want that are just a small part of a skin.
