Qiyana's design is probably the most boring design I've seen so far for a champion

For my past 5-ish years of playing this game, most of the champions in the game (either released or reworked) have some sort of design that, in some way, gets my attention or interests me. Qiyana is probably the first that absolutely fails that. Nothing about her design interests me or grabs my attention.

If anything, I actually feel her design is out of place. For a sheer moment when her splash was revealed, I though she looked like a mobile MOBA hero. That's what she looks like to me (or a prom queen that many people have been bringing up, which is also quite accurate).

She's suppose to be a champion that from the jungle, or from this new faction in the jungle, but she doesn't feel that way. Yes, the faction could be fairly advance in Runeterra but I was thinking more like a developing tribe still, maybe have more of a Mayan/Aztec feel. Here, right now, I don't really believe that. Her dress just feels too fancy and clean, her headdress is almost generic, and the hair...just throws everything off! I don't know why but she feels really, REALLY ODD with that hairstyle (IMO). I'm fine with the choice of weapon, cause it does seem interesting and I could buy that, but everything else just makes me go ---> -_- why?

I don't know if Riot could delay her for a while to go back and redesign her a bit but considering the reveal of her that is a possibility that I know is not going to happen.

Totally agree with the hair. The color doesn't really mesh all that well with the rest of her design and it just seems fake, like she's wearing a wig.

If anything is going to get changed it definitely needs to be the hair, unless it's somehow connected to her lore. But even in that scenario I still think it would be a really bad design choice.

She's like Sylas and Yuumi for me. I like the idea of these champions, but not the execution of them. A mage that can sense magic and take other's abilities? Cool. A support that can attach themselves to you? Nice. An AD assassin that uses the map's elements in their abilities? Awesome.

But our mage became Sylas, a jacked prison escapee who beats the shit out of people with chains more than using actual magic. Our support became Yuumi, who is literally just a magical cat with a magical book looking for her master with no intriguing story as to who or what she is. Our AD assassin became Qiyana, a jungle prom queen with a magical hula hoop who thinks she's going to conquer the world.

Its all just so... Meh. There's a ton of directions they could have gone for those themes, but they seemingly chose the easy way out, and that I find a bit disappointing.

Nah Kaisa beats her on the dull and missed opportunity scale by miles. Its gonna take actual work to create something worse then kai'sa.

I mean shes a human that goes into the void and comes out fine shes also kassadins daughter. Idk how you make that boring but riot somehow managed to.

You're forcing your own want of look onto her, just get over it. Just because she is from the jungle doesnt mean she HAS to look like nidalee, she is a queen so why not have a crown with green jewels? Commission someone to do fanart of how you want her to look so you can be satisfied.

There are so many archetypes missing from the game. We could have gotten an old witch/granny champion, a plus size classy opera singer, a muscular lady designed with tankyness in mind, similar to Zarya from Overwatch/HOTS. But instead we get another generic girl, this time equipped with a hoola hoop. I completely agree. Qiyana needs a more unique design. And a better wig.

How is the most boring design ever? Its surely not the best, but i'd say its decent. She has a unique weapon where she can control 3 different parts of nature with it as her abilities change because of it. I expect most people saying its poor design is that shes not an abomination and instead another attractive female, which is something very sad to get triggered over.

I'm fine with Yuumi design, I think it fits.

I'm fine with the mage sylas. while yes he is too muscular, I like the fact he uses his chains as weapons, a sorta symbol of oppression used against demacia by being channeled with his magic, which could show that his hate flows through it. it's simply him using its properties to his advantage, and it makes him seem more charismatic to mages in Demacia

The champions visuals are not to your liking, I get that, it's your opinion, but there are a lot of people including myself which find her design and potential story extremely interesting.

I love when a champion is attractive so now their entire story is just garbage. Despite Kai'sa honestly having better lore on paper than, for example, Taliyah, because she isn't mild looking, her lore is trash! Can't wait for the same thing to happen to the new champ. "Such a missed opportunity!" Says a bunch of people who probably haven't even read the champion's lore. The champion is attractive, therefore, she's a missed opporunity. You want to know a champion who is sexualized with boring ass lore and character design, but is still loved because only a minority (gay guys and girls) find him attractive, Garen. Boring ass lore, boring ass character, who's complaining about him? No one. But he's sexualized as hell, literal jock in every definition of the word. Even Lee sin has this problem, his lore is so god damn boring. Am I fine with these two characters being in the game and having the lore that they do, yeah, not every champion needs some sick as hell lore, that'd get stale. We need boring stories too. All I'm saying is that Kai'sa and this new champion are far from bad story wise and they're completely fine visually. I don't understand why y'all hate attractive people so much.

Let us completely ignore her lore and new faction that's coming up and judge her character based solely on her looks. That's totally fair, right guise?

Jesus Christ, it's no wonder you people are perpetually displeased with the game. If there's nothing you ever look forward to or leave up for a discussion once more details are revealed but you want to pass judgement the moment any minor details come out or get leaked, this is what happens.

I don't know what's the expectation. She's confirmed to come from the new Jungle region but as of Reav3's confirmation, she's a self-titled Empress. Whether she's royalty isn't yet confirmed but it also isn't confirmed that she's in Nidalee's tier as well. So the expectation that she has to look the part as if she's from Africa or whatever is just dumb to criticize WHEN THERE'S NO MORE INFORMATION TO COMB THROUGH. You're attempting to turn your speculation and displeasure into facts, which doesn't work.

Secondly, who the hell expects a splash art to tell you everything you need to know about a champion? There's literally not a single splash art that fulfills this criteria. Curb your speculation to a manageable level and wait for more information to come out.

Her looking like a prom-queen is likely intentional as she is extremely self-absorbed and bratty.
