@Reav3 about "5 teams that can do whatever" and Caitlyn

So, Riot stated that from Eve's release there will be 5 teams that can do either champions or vgus. In other discussion I asked Reav3 doesn't he thinks that we need 5 or 4 teams that make vgu, cause we have too many Tier 1 candidates for vgu.

His response was basically no, cause people love new champions.

So I have some questions:

  1. Why? We really have too many tier 1 candidates. And I mean really. Most of them had gameplay out of character or/andreally weak design of how they look like. The reworks are just awesome. And it's only Tier 1 - champs in super need of vgu.
  2. We have 138 champions. Isn't 2 new well written and well designed champions are enough? If we would have 4 teams on vgus we would have 5th team on champions so we could have approximately 2 new champs a year. And it would be awesome. Each release of new champ would be event. I think we already have too many champions, lot's of our current champion is in dire need of some kind of update.
  3. If we will not have 4 vgu team what was the reason for the statement? Why tell us that if the ratio will not change, or change a very little bit? The situation is that lots of vgus are needed right now, cause in updating Riot has a lot of work to do. And I mean a super amount of work. Why delay this and blend this work over 5 Years? If we can do this in 2?
  4. What about Caitlyn and Veigar and other champs in same place? Or Lulu's horrific face.. Let's face it: right now Cait is a hoe. Not badass sheriff, like we want her to be. She is a disgrace. Just sexy body absolutely separated from her character. But as we have too many characters it seems like she would not get attention till 2021 at least. Although community have created awesome consepts for her proper sheriff look. Does this ratio "3 teams on vgus and 2 on champs" means that she will stay in her hoe dress till 2021, cause we have tier 1 candidates? Cause if it is the way it makes me really sad and kinda ashamed of league in this.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love reworjs. In making vgus Riot have been awesome. And moreover Tier-1 candidates is really in need of work on them. But I just feel that riot has strange priorities. Cause we have a problem of too many existing champs, we have a problem of too many champs that needs updates. And I feels like Riot do not want to solve this. And why release statement that, honestly, indicates that there will be not much change in term of releases?

P.s. I really love you, Riot, and like all you guys that work there. And I wrote all of that with big love, I hope you understand.

Some people aren't as excited about champion reworks as they are with new champion releases, either because they don't enjoy the champion's current kit, their playstyle, their appearance, or what have you. New champions at least are something new and fresh, so even if you don't enjoy playing them or enjoy their playstyle, they at least are bringing something new to the table. It doesn't make any sense to tell people who enjoy new champ releases "nothing for you until we catch up with VGUs." That'd feel kinda shitty.

Riot will get to all of the tier 1 candidates at some point, have no fear. Hell, the rework cadence nowadays is WAY better than it was back when they first started doing VGUs. We'll get to everyone, have no fear.

I can understand your frustration. I mean even if we'll get a few more VGUs in the following years,it'd take riot ~3 years just to finish the Tier1-candidates(and there are quite a lot of other champions who could use an update)

But in the end, some people do enjoy new champs more than reworks and the opinion of these people matters just as much as the opinions of those who want more VGUs.

He already said that they will look for the community, when they see for example many fighters need a VGu,they will doing more VGUs, and they are on the way for more VGUs instead of new champs, but it will take some time. Creating new champs is the only way to include new features, like Xayah and Rakan as couple or Kayn as new transformation, but also new ways to describe the lore of Runterra.
