ive heard that league has been reworking their lore for like over half a year at least, is this true? and will it all be released at once? i know they've gone over shurima and some of those champs in detail but we havent gotten much actual story on everything yet. would a rioter or someone in the know be able to confirm this if it isnt confidential info?
Yes, retcon has been announced a while back.
As far as we know, it's going bit by bit. That's where Frejlord and Shurima events come into play.
Riot's been on the hush of the details, so we only got releases to speak on.
Massive re-wrights of the entire setting of Runeterra and its most influential characters before Dariuses release. Tid pits of the new world can also be extrapolated from all the new champion lores (Like Noxus being a country, an Empire infact; Ancient Shurima having a slave based economy; Protectorate and Magelords factions of old possible figures shown in SR; Ionia being invaded by Noxus more than just once; Demacia looking like Minas Tirith; Bilgewater on the brink of totally reaping by the Harrowing; Piltovers Art Deco styles in its interiors.....).
