So, the Worlds Season trailer mentions an event specifically called Popstar as the "after party", which indicates that the newly-announced skins for Kai'Sa, Akali, and Evelynn will be specifically called "Popstar". However, this leaves the question of Ahri, who already has a Popstar skin.

Does this mean that Ahri's skin will be getting a full visual update? And will it be getting a new splash, too, similar to what happened to Jack of Hearts Twisted Fate?

Honestly, I know Ahri isn't high on the VGU list, but I wouldn't be surprised if she gets one entirely, since she's so popular. People complain about the outdated nature of voice lines like Miss Fortune's or Janna's, but I think Ahri's voice line case is much worse (plus her Foxfire skin is seriously ugly by today's standards). So if this is a visual update for her skin, I wonder if it hints to more Ahri overhauls in the future.

Nope, it's a brand new skin.

Doesn't make sense to update a skin to what would be 1350 standards when most people already own the skin at the price of 975.

Old Popstar was also for a different K-pop group, the new one will be for Blackpink.

Would be nice if she eventually does get a Visual (and small gameplay) update like what Ezreal is getting, along with other champions that are just as old as her.

It's a completely different skin. Popstar will be left alone, this one will probably have a new name. That's all Riot Stellari said on her twitter, you won't get any more answers than that since it was a leak.

So if you look at the video, Kai'Sa's Popstar skin has another "chroma"-like version (that's not a chroma) of it that they're adding to the game called "Prestige" edition. These skins come with all new splash, vfx, sfx, etc. and work entirely on their own without the original skin but can NOT be purchased for RP src . My guess is that Ahri's will also be a Prestige edition, so it doesn't technically interfere at all with her original! I hope that helps clear things up a little. [sg-ahri-2]

And you wonder why... no, we don't "wonder" since we already KNOW, why Riot designed her to be a Scarlett Johansson in a skin tight catsuit even though it still makes no sense given the kind of circumstance she was stuck in.
