And it was super amazing to see a skin line representing in-lore rivalries.... sigh

Yea, cats vs dogs is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of to be In league, but besides that, the fizz skin quality is actual dog shit. That has to be one of the worst looking skins I’ve seen in a while, Imo worse than all of kogmaws old skins that all just look like chromas at this point. I guess all we can do is hope for it to be April fools. Or maybe riot will see how dumb it is and cancel it.
eveyone in the kha and rengar subreddits are super sad that it wasn't alpha hunter rengar vs alpha predator kha, its such a good idea, rengar's only good skin is basically just "this is what his base skin should have been" and kha's skins are alright, but nothing spectacular, and they already have in lore rivalry, at the time yasuo and riven had no rivalry, and when they did yasuo forgave her, darius just thinks garens devotion to "justice" and "honour" and dumb and he could be so much better if he dident believe in them, but doesnt actually hate garen, kha and rengar LEGIT wana kill eachother, AND have an ingame mini game if their vs eachother, legit no better 2 champs for a vs event

I'm fine with it. Tired of seeing "Light" vs. "Dark" and see the edgelords win every single time in every single game (e.g: Alliance vs. Horde, Cerulean vs. Crimson Legion, Allies vs. Axis, etc?
With that glowing chew toy recall on the Fizz skin, there's no way this isn't the April Fools event. It's like how the Harrowing became the Teemoing in 2016 (and yes I know that Riot's been too focused on Worlds hype to make another big Harrowing after that one, but point still stands).
And here you see a demographic that doesn't understand there are other, just as big, demographics. The last few VS events have been edgelordy. Give us a single cute vs event like damn. Did you even watch the skins video where they explain exactly why they're doing a cuter one? Or did you hear something you disaproved of and instantly went to the boards to complain without doing research? All of the VS events have been focused on top lane too which is a snore. The only VS event that didn't include 2 top laners is the one with Diana that you probably weren't here for. Too bad it still had Riven in it. Besides, you guys always pick the dark side in VS events so it's barely even a VS.

I grew tired of the ultra edgy settings of the VS events, but "cat vs dog" just seems as awful as it gets. This kind of thing should be a low effort and low cost skinline released when Riot doesn't have anything else to release, it is far from being worthy of the biggest skin event of the year. There are a lot of ways to make cool skins based on rivalry without making them absolute edge-lord material, yet it seems like Riot just said "nah, lets just turn the champions into furries"
If you don't like it don't buy anything simple as that.
It was cool to see skins that represented in-lore rivalries, but the skins themselves aren't "canon" to the Runeterra universe, they're an alternate canon. So its really pointless to tie it to in-lore rivalries. These skins aren't lore-related.

Yeaaaa I feel like this would be better as an April Fools Event rather than an actual Vs. event. Not a fan of this, honestly.
Zoe appears: People: Don't be mad for childish style, it's only Zoe, not the end of the world. Last halloween: People: It's just a few skin that comes out like this (not really). Neeko appears: People: well... it's just a second disney-y champ style, not something to get into it (yeah, sure, how much you wanna bet?).
And now... Cats VS Dogs and that (Fizz?) skin upcoming. Not childish at all.
Even the manatee from first april fools day looks ten times better, even with their respectively skins.

It wasn't really a skinline specific event though. It was just called VS, so they could have really chosen any theme to place within it.

did absolutely no one see that they teased legendary jhin and zed skins at the end of that video? perhaps they’ll be released in the vs event and april fools will turn into a mini vs event. or the dogs vs cats thing might be april fools skins. or maybe the dog vs cats thing is actually the vs event and we’re getting those legendaries whenever. who knows
