In to the Mists: Creating Shadow and Fortune
A nice dev blog with nice concept art and talk! Go take a gander!

Eh, a fine dev blog. Still doesn't state anything about how they've been just retconning everything they dislike. The philosophies they do talk about are good though.
Runeterra is meant to be a massive world, a world where the average Bilgewater resident might have heard of Demacia, but has never met anyone who’s been there.
Wait a moment. An inhabitant of the premier pirate town, with cultures and building styles mixed from all kinds of places, doesn't know its geography? I still find the whole idea that a bilgerat might not have even heard of Demacia utterly ridiculous.
I'm still curious about the technical aspects of the undead and how they are hurt/defeated. Why does Olaf's true ice forged axes cut through the spirits? and MF's demacian (possibly sunsteel) blade? Did her alcohol dipped bullets have any effect? Is it simply magic infused items that can hurt the undead? Why aren't these types of weapons more plentiful in a trade port where demand would be crazy high? Why are so many of denizens and fighters still guessing at what actually works for defense when they have faced the harrowing multiple times over and have even faced it head on in a naval battle of sorts when GP was still in charge?
My favorite quote:
“We wanted to show that the world is a living, breathing thing,” explains senior narrative writer Graham McNeill. “Actions have consequences.” Shadow and Fortune is part of a broader effort by League of Legends storytellers to build a world where places grow along with the characters who inhabit them. By picking up the thread of an existing story, League’s narrative writers are building a sense of continuity and establishing arcs that extend beyond one-off tales of derring-do.
...just because nothing's changed. They're still afraid to write stories that actually change things or have consequences. Shadow and Fortune was masterful at maintaining the status quo.
Nice artworks... but.... WHERE IS MY PICTURE OF RAFEN?
I dont care about random spirits, give me Rafen!
I'm just wondering about all that artwork...champion design concepts?
Look who it is again:
I loved the thought behind it! But does it worry anyone else that no matter what they do they can never do anything significant with any main character because of how it would mess with the league?
Outside of reworks or VUs like
It feels like a huge constraint that makes me a little sad...
One thing I liked about Shadow and Fortune is that there are non-champ characters that are actually pretty cool (Raffen).
Also, as for Graham's comment "There are humor stories and romance stories and pure fun stories" * ahem*
