Just how big is Nautilus?

Okay, before A New Dawn came out, I didn't give much thought to Nautilus' size. I simply thought he was big; bigger than most of the cast, but not among the top contenders. Naturally, I was surprised to see him so big. But I took it into stride when I watched the video my first time through. I thought, "Maybe Riot made him bigger because it's more visually impressive." But a lot of people are hooked (fully intended) on his new size. In hindsight, I should've realized he would have to be huge to wield a ship's anchor (those things aren't tiny), but I still have a hard time buying his A New Dawn iteration being his actual size.

I mean, Nautilus merged with his diving suit, right? Primitive diving suits were bulky, but they certainly **weren't **the size of a house. How could such a huge hunk of metal be transported and stored in a ship? A ship can have deep holds, but those are mostly for a lot of small things. I can't think of a pre-modern vessel having a large enough opening for a diving suit that big. How would you even wear the thing? The sheer size of it would make it a medieval mech suit more than an armor.

The only reason I can see Nautilus being that big in the present, while the diving suit being convenient for transport, is that the black goo somehow made the suit bigger... to which I ask, "What?" Magic can do a lot of things with sufficient justification; why does this black goo make a man-sized suit into a titan? I can only buy things to a point.
