It's been also confirmed by the last couple of VGUs like Swain who trigger demon voice lines on Nocturne.
They confirmed it all the way back during the Evelynn VGU that Noc was a demon
It was already confirmed last year that the demon from that story is nocturne.
Though Riot has also hinted that it is possible that the demacians simply mistook him for a demon
