The DNA on an a champ is the designer, narrative writer and concept artist for reference. For designers you can pick from CertainlyT, Squad5, EndlessPillows, SolCrushed, Jag, Xenogenic, Wrekz, August and Reinboom For writers you can pick from CoolRadius, JohnODyin, FauxSchizzle, Interlocutioner, and WAAAARGHbobo For artists you can pick from Hdot, Lonewingy, Sharpcut93, BravoRay, Skeeziks, Kindlejack, and Earp

What about Thermal Kitten? She’s a writer too, I think.

This is a tricky one since all of them have their merits but judging based on their past work I think I found a good combination for an eventual Mordekaiser VGU.

For Gameplay I'll just have to pick Sol "SolCrushed" Kim simply based on their track record. They've reworked GALIO, YORICK and VIKTOR, all champions I enjoy greatly since their kits feel thematically fitting and, more importantly, are extremely satisfying to play. Be it Galio's passive and Q, Viktor's entire bloody kit or Yorick's ghastly conjuring of ghouls. I think as a designer, they nail down how to make a champion satisfying and "weighty", which is important to someone like Mordekaiser.

As for Story I just need to pick WAAAAARGHbobo, his work is just amazing. Though if I COULD be picky I'd get Graham on the job, he has so much experience working on Warhammer!

As for Art, well, either BravoRay since he worked on a lot of champions I enjoy visually, like the new Urgot, Swain and WW. He really knows how to make champions look distinct and intimidating.

Then again, any news regarding a Mordekaier VGU would be great :^)

Funny you should mention this, I was just thinking a couple days back about who I’d like to see take on a Quinn VGU :)

Honestly, Gem Lim and Larry the Bravo Ray are my favorites. Their art is incredibly inspirational and I’ve learned a lot from them just by looking at their work. Gem in particular blew Galio’s and Yorick’s new visuals out of the park (their designs are super iconic now), and BravoRay is the mastermind behind Jhin, Kalista, and the new Swain... ‘nuff said. That isn’t to say I wouldn’t be cool with other concept artists—they’re all amazing—but those would be my go-to’s.

For gameplay/design, the choice is a bit trickier. I think my vote would go to either RiotAugust or SolCrushed—August created Jinx and Gnar, two incredibly flavorful champs who just ooze character through their kits—and SolCrushed was behind the new Irelia and Galio who are just immensely smooth and satisfying to play as while still preserving the spirit of their previous kits. Riot Harrow would be my third choice if neither of those two were available, as I think Kled hits a lot of the notes I’d like to see on Quinn. (Also, he has a rocking beard.)

Edit: Just as a follow-up, who would be your dream VGU team, Spider?

For Pantheon (because its redundant to include champs that have been mention by other boards people in this thread already) I'll pick: D: CertainlyT N: JohnODyin A: Kindlejack

For Mundo D: EndlessPillows N: Interlocutioner A: BravoRay

For Quinn gonna go with:

Gameplay - CertainlyT because he's probably the most capable person when dealing with out there champions like Quinn & Valor. I think he'd be the best person for the job and would be able to introduce mechanics that actually make the two feel like a tag team rather than the dumb taxi theme we have going on right now.

Story - CoolRadius, Narrative behind Gnar, WAAAARGHbobo, Narrative behind new Pantheon. Atm Quinn is just a bird girl who fights for Demacia has a bit of spunk. These narrators have worked on Kled, Gnar, Kayn, and Pantheon. All characters who can be simple on the surface but have a ton of depth once you go peel back a few layers. Old Quinn had that kinda depth imo because of her brother Caleb but that is gone now. Aside from a potential lore event, there's nothing that really makes her unique imo (I quit playing Quinn entirely now because of gameplay AND lore). These writers can give Quinn something cool and give her and Valor some much-needed characterization.

Visual - Art teams behind Rakan, Kayn, Taliyah. A Hing Chui who worked on Kayn and Camille. Honestly, I'm pretty cool with Quinn's visuals atm. Her face could be nicer and I honestly don't wanna see her become a new T H I C C grill like Irelia, Kai'Sa, Camille, Kindred, Evelynn w/e. Her love her current armor design because it looks lightweight and cool while also having some protective metal bits and stuff. I actually fear that if she got a VGU she might lose some of the intricate details she has going for her. I think it'd be cool if the animation techniques that Riot used when making Kayn were also used for Valor.

Edit - Realized I kinda didn't do it properly... Gameplay - CertainlyT Narrative - CoolRadius, WAAAARGHbobo Visual - Hdot

Mh, you probably should include their works as well. I mean, I'm active Surr@20 Reader and most of the names I know, but I can't recall any active work from them.

So about Design: EndlessPillows. Xayah is a beautiful design champion. I'm so looking forward for our next support. Even if he isn't listed - Kayn's designer, ZenonTheStoic. I know he switched the teams, but I think both Taliyah and Kayn have been amazing champions

Narrative: WAAAARGHbobo, without question. Sorry, I, as avid reader, atleast know which champion he wrote. For all the other writer? I'm lucky if I can name more than two champions. Writer needs to get more credit and also needs to interact more. I can recall Odin's champions simple 'cause he does talk about his champion.

Artist: Uff, no idea. Sharpcut93 hasn't done any work yet and overall, I'm not familiar with any of their work. I think BravoRay did Swain, didn't he? Probably him.
