###I will try to keep this very short, so people wouldn't have to read long lengthy paragraphs of text. In this discussion I will be going through...

  • Varus' Darkin Bow
  • Varus' potential in terms of Power
  • Other things about we don't know about Varus

###Varus' Darkin Bow

###We still don't know the following things about his Darkin Bow to this day...

  • If it's the same Bow he was using back when he was offered Ascension (in terms of bow type, not visual looks)
  • How the Bow became a powerful weapon when it was specifically made to be a personal Prison for Varus
  • The Bow's true Origins
  • What actual kind of Magic is flowing through the Bow currently
  • How his or the other Darkin chosen weapons were turned into personal Prisons (we know it was Myisha with the Power of the Moon, but how was it organised or managed)

###No one is certain how strong Varus really could be...

  • We still don't know the limits or the full potential of Varus' power, or how much damage he could cause with his Bow at full strength (since he is still weakened after the 3 identity in one body merge)
  • What the Power difference is between the Bow's Magic and the Moon Magic that was used to make it a Prison

  • What his real name is before Ascension, since after the body merge they became a merged identity called Varus
  • What he actually looked like before Ascension
  • Why he is able to control 2 people in one body sometimes, where others only attempt to take control over 1 person
  • Why he differentiates so much from the other Darkin visually (he's corrupted in Void-like Purple, while others in Blood-like Red)

The part regarding to why he is void-like was kinda answered by a Rioter I think, he had control over the body for a short amount of time comparing to Aatrox for example, over the time the body will become more Darkin-like

Varus' name is Varus, before and after his merge with Val and Kai. Varus is the Darkin entity trapped in the bow. Valmar and Kai are the two humans he made a body out of. The Darkin didn't change his name after he made a new body.

It's kind of moot at this point in time to debate what the bow is and powers it holds, because we have no lore whatsoever on how the Twilight Aspect trapped the Darkin and what she trapped them in. I'm sure when we get information on the process of trapping them in the weapons, we'll get more insight on the power level of the weapons. This will apply to all Darkin though, not just Varus.

As for how his body works and looks, he is a former godlike being, this is why Varus, by himself, can sometimes overpower the plain humans he shares a body with and take control. That's also why it takes both Val and Kai to overpower the one Darkin, since the Darkin has a much higher power level than they do. As for why he doesn't look like the other Darkin, Varus is "new." He had to make a new body, so he's hasn't fully corrupted it, and it will take longer still for him to take on a visual appearance similar to the other Darkin because he's always fighting for control with the humans. Eventually, he could look like Aatrox or Rhaast once he destroys his hosts, but until then he probably won't.

As for the "purple" and whatnot - that's not really in continuity in my eyes since Varus was retconned to be a Darkin, instead of developed to be one. He will require a minor VGU to correct this, so until that happens, don't put too much stock in his visuals.

I think his original name is Varus and the way he looked before should be like in his Arclight skin

The Darkins were imprisoned in their own weapons. Their weapons in which they were trapped are the weapons that they always used, or at least the ones that they used since they fought for Shurima. The process of "Darkin trapping" was described in The Legend of the Darkin:

Through secrecy and cunning artifice, the physical forms of the Ascended could be merged with the celestial power in their hearts, and all of it bound within the weapons they bore.

So the magic in the bow is the celestial magic that Varus himself had, and some type of light magic, since his color story says that his arrows are made of light. The bow as I said before is from Shuriman empire origin.

It is more abbut the circunstances, after centuries of impriosinement two people appeared to him at the same time. Meanwhile the others just "possessed" the one who tried to wield them.

Considering that he was feared from some Ascended even when human, Varus as Ascended/Darkin has the potential to be incredibly scary on a world scale.

No, Varus lost his family and gave himself up for vengeance. That is the only Varus.
