I think we need a Factions page on the Universe site.

Right now the universe has a Regions page, which is great. you can read about the region and the champions in it.

The problem is that some champs are from Runeterra in general. Which is fine for let's say evelynn and shaco but not for annie, who lives in a noxian forest but is not sided with noxus as a country/military power. At the same time there's Zaun, a lawless city filled with character with different morals. Jinx is from zaun as far as we know, she lives in Zaun and "operates" from zaun. So do Singed, ekko, Twitch and Urgot None of them is working with each other, or alteast not as a permanent allegiance. Jinx, Singed and twitch all do their own thing. Urgot is trying to take over Zaun and i'm pretty sure Ekko's got a gang of kids his age who have the same ideals.

As i went to get the link i noticed a rioter had posted, they also disagreed with riven being added to Ionia. And as a faction that makes sense, she lives there now though so the region she resides in is Ionia.

Not only could the page sort champions based on faction, it could also contain information about those factions. For example: the Kinkou order what do we know about them (i'll miss things 100%)

  • shen is their leader
  • Akali and Kennen hold special titels within it, atleast Akali's is passed down so it should fulfill a certain role.
  • They are (most likely) at odds with the Order of Shadow.
  • Their main goal is keeping the balance.
  • Ninjas
  • Based somewhere in Ionia

How do we know that? From reading Zed, akali, kennen & Shen's stories.

We could have stories that revolve around conflict between the kinkou order and the Order of Shadow, but don't focus on specific champions. Or just general info on the factions. how do they work? are there Ranks in the faction, and how are they decided? What's their Goal? How did they come into existance? etc...

I think we aren't at that point where there are so many many factions that we need to tab for it . But in time we would need one

Overall the whole "region"-thing is kinda inconsistent anyway and it looks to me like the rioters simply give every champ the faction that simply fits best with the champ.

I mean some champs list the faction where they were born,even if they aren't tied to that faction anymore(like basically all the voidborn),while others list the faction with which they have the biggest ties within the lore,even if they weren't born there(like Kassadin or Urgot) And then there is Aurelion Sol,who is the only champion that lists runeterra as his faction,but is still counted as a Targon-champ regardless(no other champ does something like this)

I do think though that a faction-subpage could be interesting(listing smaller factions that operate within the regions,like the freljord tribes or the black rose),though I do think they should also make more race-pages like the one for the vastaya(hopefully we'll get a darkin-page with the aatrox update)
