I have to say that this version of Willump does look extremely badass,but I guess they wanted to avoid the "small child and fierce beast"-theme to avoid overlaps with Annie.

i mean its a creature with giant claws that slices and bites his enemys. in the end he would be full of blood. but it would be weird for a small boy to ride a creature that protects him and is full of blood lol

I prefer Nunu's more childlike/whimsical "boy and his monster friend" feel in the rework, it's more enjoyable like that.
