Interesting, though I prefer Varus' classic coloring.
It's not similar to Aatrox and Rhaast's, but it's unique and fitting for the champion. Color-coding factions and related characters isn't necessarily a good thing.
This could totally be a Chroma. I'd get it.

They should make a skin where the darkin takes full control like aatrox and rhaast, they could call that skin vaarus lol
Dang, I actually really like the red color scheme, and I think it actually looks better on him. That said, as long as they continue to make his hair more and more fabulous with each splash art remake, the designers can take Varus in any direction they wish. I also really love his Conqueror skin; the pose and haircut just makes him look so much more intimidating.

is full darkin,I think that he is like Kayn,but Varus is in control,and Kai and Val are voices in his mind.I think this color palette suits him,And we don't know the darkin,yes we have seen a couple of them,but we don't know the entire race,some may be purple,and some may be red.

It's worth noting that Varus was, if I recall correctly, originally tainted by the Void and not a Darkin, I guess they decided to just keep the design as is.

Looks a bit much like Conqueror Varus but nice to see an alt-version.
I think its too red. I mean, sure, more red would be more in-line with rhaast and aatrox but to have only red is overdoing it. Even old Aatrox slash had his skin more a purplish color.
No traditipnal colors would give him bluish grey corruption and red skin.

I think I would rather they continue to be different. Rhaast is Red, Aatrox is Orange and Varus is Purple.
would honestly love to see a red darkin skin or blue conquered/free skin. seeing as kayn turned blue once he gained control and vaarus seems to be somewhat of a perfect hybrid being a mix of red and blue aka purple. seeing what the other two alternatives would be sounds cool to me
I'm hoping he gets some kind of model update to be more in-line with his new Darkin backstory, if not just new lines for his mental gay threeway. Also, as someone else mentioned, I see an opportunity for a 'full Darkin' skin. Tryndamere could even get something similar, where Aatrox has taken him as his vessel.
