Kindred lore wise and "Her" gameplay

As much as this is a pain to me I have to say that Kindred was Riot's biggest failure. They are dual spirit that mimics a grim reaper. They appear at the last moments of one's life and ask him do you wants Lambs arrow or Wolf's teeth. Aka do you want to go swiftly without any pain or want to go slowly and painful. If you ran away from that moment Wolf chases you down and...And if you stay and accept your fate Lamb will proceed. And...

In Game: Kindred the Eternal Hunters She looks like an lamb with a mask and has a little pix like pet that circles around her.(pix actually does damage while Wolf...)

Is that really Kindred we know of ¿ No.. that is not Them. Sadly they didn't deliver the champion itself into the game. They gave us Lamb and her pet not Kindred the Eternal Hunters. In a way we only got like half of the champion. Their gameplay in no way delivers that duality of elegance and swiftness with brutality and gore. We have Lamb doing literally everything wolf just jumps once and teleports back to her instantly...Their kit is not Theirs its Hers. All the abilities are hers Wolf just is there for the sake of the splash art and the 's' in "The Eternal Hunters" I and many many of the fans fell in love with this champion this dual spirit, the two different characters merged into one was something new to the community. Looking back into theory videos after the "They are coming" and the Tale trailer everyone literally everyone that made a video on it thought that the champion would be like once you play as Lamb then ultand you are the other or click a button or respawn then you are Wolf. Others said that you would have two characters that do different things in a one champion. Like the lamb does q and e and the wolf w and r. No one thought that a lamb and a pet would be a champion.. And the reason is why riot promoted the champion as Them and when we got them in game... it was her... I know probably wont happen in the next few years but a full kit rework for kindred would be fitting honestly. Also it would be the first rework that would be pushed by the design not gameplay reasons. (If a rework comes prob it would be about gameplay reasons but it should be about the design) I would love to see Them as a playable champion as the duality they are.

Agreed. I love the concept and character, cant cant cant cant get behind the kit and gameplay. It just doesn't fit Kindred at all when Wolf doesn't do shit.

I think they could show the duality in more original ways than another transformation champion, but I agree that Wolf needs more spotlight.

At least Noxus gives him that spotlight.

Ivern and Daisy are a better duo champion than Lamb and Wolf. Ivern needs Daisy and Daisy needs Ivern, but with Kindred it's just Lamb doing her thing and Wolf running in a circle.

We have to sadly admit that the Wolf is less than a pet at this point

An idea I just had: What if it's kind of a single character that swaps masks for different movesets, LoZ-style? And the masks are sentient and still talk to each other. How cool would that be?

And that nonsense R that saves your allies. When you are playing the Grim reaper. Like say, if I were to rework Karthus into a global taric ult, it would be TOTALLY wrong right? Riot even admitted within their champion insights that this champion's passive was a afterthought of Jhin. And that champion represents death BETTER than kindred.

If I were to rework Kindred's ult it would be like this

R: On Death's door. Kindred applies a mild slow debuff upon the passive marked enemy and the ult will change depending on how the enemy moves away from Kindred. If the enemy has not moved much from the spot where the debuff was first applied, R will become "Acceptance". Activating this will be a simple execute while giving kindred more rewards on stacks. If the enemy had ran from the spot, R will become "denial" and the mark's slow will heavier upon the duration while wolf runs in a massive distance applying E stacks. If Lamb arrives where wolf is, and applies the final stack it will empower the missing hp execute damage.

Gameplay and lore do not have to match up 100%. Next! And ya lets have ourselves another nidelee. Sounds like so much fun

What exactly are people looking for when they say they want a dual champion?

I think it covers both. Kindred isn’t death they are just a spirit wandering around looking for people that are vulnerable. Kindred’s E perfectly embodies them as well. The first two shots are from lamb the swift killer. If they don’t die wolf chomps them and it does quite the damage too. It’s not an execute but sure does feel like one. Also the w is wolf’s playground where he tears at his victims.i think when you see that mark on you it gives you the feeling of worry just like one would have being hunted by the spirit.

Overhead MOBAs (League, Dota, HotS) are one of the few genres that I think can actually handle a double-character. Being based on RTSes, there's not really any reason Kindred couldn't be two separate (weaker) champions controlled by one player. It'd be hella mechanically complex, but I think viable. Note this is different from the Lost Vikings in HotS, in that both would have full kits and the controls would be deliberately tuned to make it easier to control both. There could also maybe be some sort of leash distance to prevent them from taking Lost Vikings' role, too - no double-laning here, please. >.>

It would be difficult to balance, but it would fit the dual champion theme (unlike the current iteration) without being yet another transform champ.

(alternatively you could go full Cho'Gall but that's another thing altogether and probably not ideal for these two)

Just off the top of my head, Lamb would probably be an immobile marksman with low to moderate utility, while Wolf would almost certainly be a highly mobile diver (not assassin - he couldn't have nearly enough damage to be a remotely useful assassin while attached to Lamb). I'm guessing Lamb's kit would be focused on soft CC and a damage bonus vs people moving towards her (and penalty vs people moving away from her), while Wolf's would be more about %missing health damage and bonus damage vs people moving away from him (and penalty on people moving towards him). Their tactics would probably involve Lamb kiting while Wolf skirmished/chased, and I'm guessing wolf chasing hard and executing people who were running away while low? idk. It could be fun though.

Since wolf chases it could be a transform mechanic where if a champion is moving away from you then you can activate to transform from lamb to wolf, gaining different stats and abilities. Like as lamb e? then if someone is moving towards you, wolf would be able to transform back? just put it on a medium/long cd so the transform choice in a fight is meaningful and takes skill/timing. make wolf more of a fighter or assassin, lamb obviously still a marksmen with her bow. Just a thought.

Like the lamb does q and e and the wolf w and r.

Well that is almost what we got. Wolf does the W and the passive and E are essentially abilities that use both of them(lamb fires wolf for the E and for the passive we have lamb choosing champs, while Wolf chooses jungle camps).

Honestly if they somehow integrated Wolf into the auto attacks(and maybe into the Q?)then it would be pretty balanced between the 2.
