Why champions who use frost power is always included in Freljord

Because the Frozen watchers who once ruled freijord introduced something called true ice, which is a form of magical ice that cannot be melted. Champions who use ice powers generally use 'true ice' or artifacts made from true ice. , 's shield, 's bow, mace are all Iceborn based weapons which utilize true ice as a source of their powers.

Lissandra uses a corrupted form of this called dark ice which is just a product of her powers and the influence the watchers have.

Anivia on the other hand is a magical elemental of the freljord itself, and her existence affects the natural landscapes itself.

It would be cool to get a frost champion from somewher else in runeterra! I Think it would work nicely if we got someone from Ionia. This champ might live in the Mountains and use a iceblade or something.

Why is Azir from Shurima? What do you mean it doesn't make sense that he should be from Bilgewater even though he uses sand.

Why is Lux from Demacia? What do you mean she can't be from the Shadow Isle and use light magic at the same time?

You would think would have frost power, but he doesn't.

It's just a theme. they could break the tradition and maybe one day make a champion with cold/frost abilities that DIDNT come from Freljord.

Because the watchers of the freljord were beings who used special kinds of ice magic. They turned many freljordians into iceborn,which granted them ice-powers(this is why has ice powers) and they created lots of weapons infused with true ice,who are the source of the power of many freljord champions( and ).

So 5 out of the 7 ice users,use powers that were essentially created by the iceborn,who had their base in the freljord.

The other 2 and are a bit less clear. But I guess that it is mostly because these 2 were designed with ice powers and when it came to making them part of runeterra they were shoved into the freljord because it was the most fitting place.
