Why doesn't Riot add map skins to the game like the champion skins. It would be nice to have a little bit of variety, more than the Christmas and Halloween maps. I'd be willing to pay for something like the Mystic map skin cause it would be easier on my eyes and more interesting, and if Riot put them out they could make money and have a new interesting twist. (also sorry for the not original vid i don't know how to change it)

After all these years with many different people still requesting as such, Riot has never (afaik) addressed the possibility of implementing different map environments. We have no clue if Riot has experimented/explored with the idea, but the general lack of obvious enthusiasm from the game devs says a lot. Maybe they had already discovered too many issues/obstacles some time ago that hindered successfully implement map skins. Who knows what excuses.
Until the day the devs legitimately humor the possibility I don't think there's any active interest and if there wasn't any obvious interest before, what will change going forward.
