Riot, good job on Sion's new story.

You guys managed to make League's closest thing to a mindless killing machine somewhat sympathetic. That's not an easy thing to do. Sion has gone from a joke, to a character that is not only meaningful and interesting on his own, but who has a story that has implications into the deepest aspects of Noxus.

I always felt that the subtext to Swain's story that hinted at a not wholly great guy(by Noxus standards) was kind of glossed over after he became high-general. But this story and his treatment of Sion brings it back into new light. It also shows that the abrogation of the Noxus ideals(thanks to the Black Rose) are continuing even after the things that happened with the alliance with Zaun(if that stuff is still canon).

Anyways good job story team.

The Sion storyline is an excellent example of staying faithful to the storyline of other characters involved while expanding the story of the main character. I thought it was rather well done, and rewarded prior knowledge of lore.

People seem to misunderstand that the entirety of old lore has been wiped away, when in reality it's just the Institute that's been removed. While it's not necessarily confirmed, I'm pretty sure we can say that anything that happened that didn't involve the Institute still happened, until proven otherwise. Even events that did involve the Institute can be changed accordingly. The pain is in the waiting.

Too bad it took the Freljord and Shurima lore culling to produce one champion worthy of the word "good."

When they fix what they've wronged, they will earn a pat on the back.

I do like the interesting conflict that Sion seems to be going through. He seems vaguely aware that he's a mockery of the champion that he once was, but that awareness is constantly getting buried by his fanatic patriotism and his murderous tendencies. It's like a sane man trying to get out of an abandoned sanatorium full of insane mental patients.

I still wonder what they'll do regarding Urgot though. After going through explaining why Sion of all people is being resurrected, and how hard it was to get him semi-functional, I doubt that Urgot will be allowed to remain as a zombie.

My theory is that the ritual at the time was meant for Azir. Maybe because he was the Emperor. Xerath stopping it corrupted the transformation.
