Were there more skins released this year than ever before?

I don't necessarily think so. I think there have been a lot less skin collections launched (like Blood Moon, Star Guardian, etc), so many of the skins were solo skins, with only like a rare few in the trios (High Noon, Pool Party) and then the largest batch which was Odyssey. So it may just feel like more have been released since there seems to have been fewer sets.

Really doubt this. At the beginning of this year we had a lot of patches with only 1 skin.
