EDIT: Snow day wins with 25 to 19 votes. #####~~ Here comes the next contestant~~

Hey! Just as I expected, there was a Lore Update today. Luckily there are still two free slots in the plan, so Child of Zaun can go up against Silence for the Damned, while Aphelios' color story will be matched against Senna's.

#####A tale of ancient creatures

There is not really a shared theme here, just that both stories tell of things long gone.

The first story, Canticle of the Winged Sisters, found in the Crownguard Library of High Silvermere, tells of the arrival of the young twins in Demacia, their deeds and their exile.

In the second story, Snow Day, Gnar wants to be an artist. He is interrupted by a giant beast, who he then sends to sleep. It is just sleeping, right?

On one hand, I find it a bit difficult to believe that a Yordle who hunts with a boomerang doesn't know what death is. On the other hand, the story was still pretty cute.

So I'll vote Canticle. Kayle and Morgana bias. But ultimately I find the story rather interesting. While it is a major retelling of their bios, it has such an eloquent and interesting use of words. My biggest regret is the lack of rhymes. But yeah I just love it. It's very different and I seem to have understood that it's not very appreciated. But I love it.

With chains she bound black feathers tight And vanished through the mists of time.

I just love that story. Admittedly I have a big bias but after reading it several times over... I just think it's a very good story, albeit very different from what we're used to having.

While I am happy they tried something new with Canticle of the Winged Sisters, and although it is a great lore dump and sets up the sisters stories very well, I'm going to have to go with Snow Day on this one. It feels more like a fully fleshed out story than a lore dump, and seeing the world through Gnar's childlike eyes is honestly heartbreaking. Gnar is one of the characters I was worried stories would never be written for because of how odd he is, but this story was up there with some of the best character-specific short stories as far as showing personality.

Canticle of the Winged Sisters is an utter mess of trying to combine poetic styles. Unless it's actually supposed to be free-verse, but I don't think it is. Snow Day was intriguing, a bit disturbing, and also sad. Voting that one. Hope it wins out.
